Camera Zoom controls and 4 Mega pixels
We recommend this camera as the minimum level to musicians artists to live stream on our community channel and don't have any external camera gear. The camera is basically plug and play on a modern Windows 10 laptop for Facebook Live and the like. We run the camera through OBS Studio and straighten out the camera's slight fisheye using the OBS Studio OBS ShadeFilter with a fisheye..shade file. The pictures show the fisheye correction as compared to the raw uncorrected image from the cameraThe native res of the camera is 2560x1440 @30 fps and the camera's properties under OBS include a zoom, pan and tilt slider and at 4 x zoom the picture still looks great. The camera's dynamic range is OK when looking at a TV screen in a darker room. The TV doesn't gets washed out.The zoom button on top of the camera is useful for quick changes in zoom for Zoom and Google Meetingswhen using the Microsoft camera app for a recording, the video and audio are confirmed to be in syncFor $40 the camera is great bargain !!

Easy to use and has zooming capability that is nice
This is an easy plug and use webcam. It has a button on the top that will make your video zoom in or out. This is helpful for me because I have a portion of my room that I'd prefer wasn't on my video's on my web meetings during covid. It was immediately helpful when I got it today and used it twice, already. I received a comment from a colleague telling me that the shelves behind me were nice and people typically didn't say anything about my new shelves because it was zoomed out and more of my wall and tv cabinet was in the view. Great webcam for the money. The pictures show the privacy shutters closed, a view of it on my monitor and a view of the button on top of the webcam that you press to make the video zoom in (it zooms in and out each time you press that button). Easy.

ok product, but zoom function was apparently removed AFTER I purchased it
I purchased this webcam specifically because it had manual digital zoom function. For some reason most webcams these days have 90+ viewing angle making it very impractical for 1on1 meetings (if I sit 3.5ft from camera my face is merely 10% if the picture). I know some cameras have companion software which allows you to zoom in but it doesn't always work on all the machines I use (I use Windows 7/10 and various Linux distros).I purchased this webcam a few days ago and upon receiving it discovered that the button advertised to be digital zoom button is just a rubber knob which does not seem to have any effect on zoom or any other functionality. Puzzled, I went to the product description and discovered the following update:"Starting from January 7, 2021, this camera does not have a "zoom" function. "When I purchased it on January 5th this update obviously wasn't there and a lot of product reviews described the digital zoom functionality to be present.I'm going to be returning this camera since I did not receive the product I purchased (webcam with the digital zoom button). I am very unhappy with the way the manufacturer handled this feature change. Also, I am very puzzled with the absence of narrow-angle webcams on the market currently. If al lot of people work from their home offices there must be a way to have a webcam which allows for videoconferencing where you can see the person's face?..Overall, it's an ok webcam, quality is acceptable, it's plug-and-play on all Windows and Linux machines. Mounting mechanism is well designed and has a good grip (the holder has rubber-like surface and not smooth plastic like many other cameras). It can be mounted on a tripod. The privacy screen is not very useful, it's almost impossible to close it when the webcam is on the monitor.

a pleasant surprise
I didn't expect much from a no-name Chinese tech product with dubious reviews. But for my purposes this is the perfect webcam and I'm glad I tried it. I've tried four other cameras, and the picture quality on this is sharper and clearer with excellent color and tone. The zooming feature is critical for videoconferencing, showing your face rather than your office, and it works like a charm just by pressing a button. Because of the super high resolution, the picture is clear even at maximum zoom. Audio quality is good and captures sound to the side, maybe a little "boomy" at the low end. The privacy shutter is nice and closes easily using your fingernail. The webcam is easy to position. There is a very slight fisheye effect, not enough to worry about. As far as I can tell, it is fixed focus, not auto or manual focus, but every image I viewed was in focus all the time, so that's fine. I wish it came with software to make adjustments, but I guess you have to try to find a Logitech for that. Couldn't figure out any 3rd party software. Brightness control and microphone volume work on basic apps like Camera and Zoom. Other than that, I don't have to adjust anything, it is great the way it is. Now my videoconferencing looks professional. A pleasant surprise.
