I loved this book! Mansfield does a terrific job describing the ministry of George Whitefield with lessons for today weaved in. If you are involved in ministry I highly recommend this book.

This was a great introductory biography of one of the forgotten founding fathers and the preacher who led the Great Awakening. The book gives a short personal history of Whitefield, his preaching, and his character. I'm thankful to the author for writing this book about such an influential but little known figure in American history. Although the book is only a brief overview of Whitefield, it will leave you interested to learn more. This is a great addition to the author's series of Christian historical figures.

George Whitfield was used by God as much or more than any other individual in America's first great awakening. This book will tell you what happened and how God used it!

Stephen Mansfield is one of my favorite biographers. I learned a great deal about George Whitefield by reading this excellent biographies. I highly recommend the book to anyone who loves to read about the lives who have truly made a difference in the world.

Rev Whitefield laid the foundation for a new nation but unfortunately, historians often overlook his contribution because he died in 1770, on the eve of the American Revolution. This book puts him back in importance to knowing what an American truly is.

You must read about George Whitefield. This book gives some great basics to get started on and leave the reader with enough knowledge to speak intelligently about Whitefield; and enough mystery to want more.
