For those who have used sponge rollers, these are your classic reliable sponge rollers. I initially read bad reviews on this product that was more user error/misunderstanding than product issue. If you need classic sponge rollers, these are perfect.For those who are unfamiliar with sponge rollers:-Yes, the plastic is in 2 pieces. That is by design. If you can't snap the plastic closed them you are probably trying to use too large of a section of hair around the roller or you need a larger sized roller.-It is best to use these when your hair is damp, not soaking. Think about it is you have very wet hair and leave it very tightly curled around something all night it may not dry completely. I let my hair mostly air dry and put these in when it is damp, then sleep in them and my hair is completely dry by morning. When straight, my hair is a little below my shoulders.-If you curl them super tight around the curler, they can make very tight curls. If you take the curler out and run a brush through it, you may look like little orphan Annie. Use your fingers to loosen the curls and recurl them.-Like many hair products, not all products work for all hairs types. There is different techniques, skills and products used for different hair types. That is not the products fault.Good luck!

It gives a really nice curl to your hair and is fine to sleep on.

These are solid quality rollers. My only complaint is that they snap apart while you’re rolling your hair pretty frequently and it’s a little bit of a hassle to snap them back together.

I ordered these because I have a lot of long hair. Mine were not compressed upon arrival like others.1. Good Value as you get 36 rollers. Although mine obviously had been returned and 1 pack was opened and there were only 35 rollers. No biggie, but not good quality review on returned items.2. The clip part of the roller comes apart easily. So you are trying to put it back together with your hair in the roller. Hint: Unclip and have ready before starting to roll your hair.I am not returning as I already used them and for the price, I can deal the negatives.

I purchased these to do my daughters hair for the lead role as Clara in the Nutcracker. On Wednesday night, she washed her hair and we rolled these in her damp hair with gel in her hair. After each of her six performances, we would roll her hair back up and hair spray as we went. Her hair was a rock by Sunday lol. The curlers do the job!

I was needing some foam curlers that were a little bit bigger than the ones that I had used for many years with no problems. I read the reviews and most of them were good with just a few complaints about the clip that folds over and hooks to close coming off. I don't know how there could be so many good reviews. These are terrible, the 1st one I put in the clip came off, so tried another one and he clip came off. I tried reattaching and the plastic is so cheap that it just bends. There are 36 rollers in the package I got and almost every one came apart when putting it in my hair. I am very familiar with these kind of rollers so I know it is not something I am doing wrong. Maybe the problem is in quality control with some being trash and some being ok, I don't know, but I do know that I hate these rollers

I have used these types on and off for years and quality on allI have tried has deteriorated until I got this brand. The amount I received in the medium size package was 3 packs of 12, and they are firm with a good hold. I have thick hair so my old ones would sometimes break or unclip at night which was awful. I have enough to put some now in my bags for travel and keep some just for home. They are great. Hopefully, they will last a long time.

These are just not a substantial product. I have been wearing sponge rollers since a teen and now a mature women. However, these do not have a good grip and the clasp or closing did not work well. Waste of money and frustrating.
