Siphon Vacuum Water Pump Gravel Cleaner Aquarium Filter by Big Bargain

I had this pump for a while sitting around. I finally used it today for a water change. It looks a little flimsy but I was impressed! It took little effort to get pump started as opposed to my big original gravel cleaner. Good suction for a cheaper pump! I'll probably buy a couple more of these. Worth it

Didn't work for me at all. I ended up having to get another siphon from a pet store. The one good things about it is that the suction pump detaches easily, and made a great add-on for the second siphon I had to buy. This siphon is cheaply made and came apart easily, but if you need a suction pump for your own siphon, this is a good buy if you take apart for just that piece.

Complete junk. Cheaply made. Tubing cracked before even opening. Extremely long delivery.

Really useful siphon. I bought it to replace another I had and I'm really impressed. My previous one was very difficult to get going, you had to work quite hard to get the water flowing. With this one, just a few squeezes of the pump gets the siphon going and you get just the right level of suction power for cleaning the gravel. My only quibble would be the head is quite large which makes cleaning around plants a bit tricky, but then I have a very small tank so I'm sure this wouldn't be a problem for most people.

The first one I bought was an absolute bargain and lasted me nearly a year, and I only had to replace it because I bent the tubing without realising. The second one I ordered appears to have tiny holes in the tube. It syphons really inneficiently, and I can see air bubbles flowing through the tube mixed with the syphoned water. Basically for just over a quid you’ll either get a bargain, or you’ll waste just over a quid-your choice whether you take that chance. Bear in mind though, these take a good 3 weeks to arrive in the UK (in my experience).

I love this product, it has made cleaning my fish tank so much easier with minimum disturbance to the fish. The wide end goes into the tank and the other end into a bucket, you squeeze the blue part until it sucks up all the grime from the bottom of the tank.

Does what it's designed to do - and helps me clean the muck out of the fish tank. You squeeze the blue section to draw the water through the siphon, so with the ends positioned correctly, it's a great way of cleaning the tank without making lots of mess or spilling water everywhere.

Very cheap product in terms of cost and quality. It might be suitable for a small fish tank but mine is 96 litres and it is very hard to generate a suction.I bought this as a spare, but it really is of no use to me, and I only ever tried using it once. Probably not very durable as the build quality is poor. However, as mentioned, it might suit a small fish tank.
