These are handy! I use them a lot, I like Areas tools, they are large but if your tying the big wire it's handy! Reversing feature is nice but not the main reason I bought it. Locks up tight and easy, looks like a good tool to me.

I’m a ride mechanic in the amusement park industry. I’ve used these pliers over 400 times in the last year. They work as good now as the first time. The lock has never failed and I really like the right-lock-left switch. I’ve used the pro-t brand and they are plastic junk. Safety wire pliers will eventually wear out, just like most highly used hand tools. These are comfortable to use and great value for my money. Will definitely buy again if/when these wear out. Far exceeded my expectations.I was trained as a machinery technician in the USCG almost 25 years ago (2001). I would consider myself a general industrial mechanic. I earn my living using had tools every day. Quality tools are not always the most expensive or big brand names.I can not speak for the aerospace industry. I know there are better options for that type of work. For general industrial use, automotive/drag racing, or just a hobbyist this is a tool worth adding to your toolbox.
