Mansa Musa and Timbuktu: A Fascinating History from Beginning to End

I must admit I’ve never heard of Mansa Musa so this was a great read and good information for me. It is always good to learn of our history for African Americans. So much of it has been suppressed which is so sad.

I'm so glad that I purchased to book. I've learned so much about our history in that time and I would recommend this book to anyone who wants more knowledge about our history as Black King & Queens.

Books such as these shine a brilliant light on exactly why the understanding of World History is important. The history and story of Manga Musa is a fascinating account of the Continent of Africa's impact in the development of the Western Hemisphere. Timbuktu was the greatest learning center of its time and deserves to get the true recognition it so richly deserves.

Great book for kids and adults. Me and my son read this book together and learned a lot. Not that many pages but very detailed

I was a little underwhelmed by how small the book was, I was expecting a much thicker book so I could immerse myself in.

The author conveniently forgot to mention a portion of Mansa Musa's vast wealth was a direct result of the numerous slave breeding colonies throughout the empire. Did the author not research correctly or did the author cave to the almighty "political correct" lies.

I would have liked it to give more information. The story came off opinionated

Disappointed with this and had to return. Thought I was buying a well written historical book. Instead received a book with very eye catching shiny comic like cover and content aimed at primary aged children.
