Used it for haircuts! Great for detailed cuts

I am not a professional barber. I trim my hair in the mirror and I trim the ends of my wife's hair between cuts. I do a good enough job, but only have a few techniques in my bag of tricks. I have sharpened knives for 40 years and scissors are knives, so I do have some expertise.These scissors arrived quickly, properly oiled and adjusted. They came with a polishing cloth, that I use as a mat to with which to rest them on the counter. They also had a bottle of oil, an adjustment tool, and some hole pad inserts. I have not used these pieces.Within two minutes of using the scissors, I had nicked my finger and had to find a band-aid. This was my fault, but shows how sharp they are. Be careful. I am a bigger than average man, so the the holes on the scissor were a little tight. They were contoured nicely and felt comfortable, though—tight, but no problem.My biggest disappointment was that I expected a leather-ish case with them because of the picture on the product page. It did not come with such a case. I later noticde that the words on the page did not promise the case. It was little misleading, but we consumers can't assume anything.The scissors arrived in a unique packaging arrangement. As I slid the new scissors out of the box I saw them suspended in a plastic film, stretched taught in a hard foam frame. I thought "what a great way to protect them in shipping." I then cut the scissors out of the plastic film to use them for the first haircut. I kept the frame to keep the scissors from rattling in the box when I returned them to storage. As I unboxed them a week later to trim my wife's hair, I noticed the frame was hinged! The shipping frame was intended to be a storage container, a sort of no-frills case. I was disappointment that the packaging didn't warn me not to cut the plastic and that I was now deprived of that benefit by my ignorance. I'm taking a full point off for the lack of case or communication that the packaging is an intended as a cheap substitute for the case shown on the product page but not included.I like these scissors. I would buy them again.

The best way to describe my New Professional 6" Japanese Cobalt Steel Hair Cutting Scissors isWOW! As a Professional Hair Stylist, I am very picky about my Scissors and tools.I only use the Best of the Best! I bought these to test drive and have as a miscellaneous pair!But to my surprise, I open the box of my New 440c Japanese Cobalt STEEL Scissors! OMGoodness!Amazing! The first thing I noticed was the Weight and Balance of these Shears are Perfect! The bladesare precision Cobalt Steel. The 440c has a pointed nose and baby they are sharp!I can honestly say these are NOT my miscellaneous shears! Best of the Best! Very happy with my purchase!

I've tried many brands over the years of all sorts of price points and by far can assure you that the price-quality ratio in these is amazing, totally worth it. Product was better than average but for the money ( $60.00+ ) I thought they would have been effortless cutting units. Not so much!
