Whether it's the price or the quality you're needing, there's no comparison - it has both. Usually we pick it up at Guitar Center, but their price went up. So we're very happy it's on Amazon at the price point we like!

Update: Seller did refund me and without me asking for a return, so at least there’s that…Original review:This seller either got a counterfeit batch from their distributor or they are just using a “drug-dealers playbook,” move, selling the (goods) real deal at first, get you hooked, so you buy again, except next time it’s NOT the “real deal”… It’s a product of much lower quality. Drug dealing 101 on the Amazon store? No of course not, but sorta feels just as crappy. I’ve been ordering and using this Gaffers tape for years, but the last time I ordered it a few days ago…it is NOT the same quality. It no longer seems to be as sticky or adhesive as it used to be and now it always rips on an angle. I’m actually going to return it, it’s that bad. I guess I’m going to just pay the ridiculous $40+ for the Roscos or whatever it’s called, my local camera store sells. It’s made better and it’s threaded better, it rips straight. I can’t stand how this Pro-Gaff now rips on a slanted 20-30 degree angle every time I rip a piece off. Plus like I said…it doesn’t stick well. So it’s basically useless, you’ll just end up tripping over cords and you’ll have to literally clean the ground anytime you want to use this. From reading a few other reviews, it seems this is a counterfeit “Pro Gaff” product! Not acceptable!

This Gaffer tape was affordable and worked well. It did its job sticking down electrical cords to carpet in a meeting hall.

All brands of gaff tape that I've run across seem over-priced, but this is a quality product.

Pro Gaffer's tape is the best tape you can buy. I have a somewhat smooth concrete shop floor, and the tape will hold down a rug for months!!! Months!!!! There are only a few things it can't do, such as taping to your car, and possibly other clear coated painted surfaces, it just slides off. The price is way too high, $20 here, $30 elsewhere, but other than that, fantastic!

My application requires black tape with black adhesive - the main product photos all show black on black, but the tape shipped is black on white. There is a single closeup photo in the features section that shows the actual white color of the tape, all the rest are black, with no way to differentiate in the description... Strangely it looks like one of the photos in the main description has been altered to show black adhesive (looking at the side of a roll the black on white is noticeably greyer than black on black, and there is one image that obviously has black on white in the roll and black on black coming out of the bottom - someone messed up... Tape performs fine otherwise.

Bought this to use as edge guard tape on my pickleball paddle. Ended up buying this brand because of reviews and it works very well for my purpose. Very easy to tear, even lengthwise. The 2" width equates to 3 strips of equal width for my paddle. Adhesion is very good although I haven't tried removing it yet so I can't comment on any residue left behind. Much more durable than the previous electrical tape that I was using. The roll is about double the size of alternative brands so at the price I paid, it's not much more expensive than the substitutes. If you're purchasing this for your pickleball paddle, another option to consider is the off-brand edge guard tape sold on AliExpress.

It's Pro Gaff. There is a reason this is industry standard. I have never used a better gaff tape than this in more than 30 years working with live sound and lighting crews. Because it is matte black, you can easily label things with a silver or gold sharpie, and it doesn't stick out glaringly for the audience and distract from the show. Great stuff!

I've used a variety of gaff tapes over the years and ProGaff does a great job of balancing the 3 most important factors: strength, stickiness, price.The fabric is tough enough not to tear prematurely, the adhesive is just sticky enough to grab the things you need it to, but then not leave a residue behind, and the price isn't going to break the bank so you don't feel bad about laying down 20' of it at a go.

if you need something that doesn't leave residue (like duct tape does) Gaffer tape is your friend. Its like Duct tapes stronger and less messy bigger brother. use it often on set (photography) and at home. very versatile and durable
