VP6 2.4GHz Wireless USB Portable Handheld Laser Barcode Reader Scanner with 100' Cordless Connection

The product listing is a bit confusing regarding the different models. I have the RF (2.4GHz) version and NOT the bluetooth version. This can be confusing as bluetooth operates in 2.4GHz band as well as many other devices. Just be sure that you know which one you are getting. The bluetooth one can work with mobile devices but the 2.4GHz one can't. The 2.4GHz has better range when doing real-time communication with the computer than the bluetooth version, (allegedly). I can go probably 30 yards unobstructed and probably closer to 20 yards with walls in between.I followed the instruction booklet and I have no issue scanning any barcodes and having them read by quickbooks. I use it for UPC's and serial numbers mostly and both work just fine. Many of my products have barcodes that have part names instead of UPC codes and those scan perfectly for my quickbooks part names. Makes receiving inventory so much easier than without the scanner.This is a 1D barcode reader so it will only read standar UPC style barcodes, (vertical lines). It will not read 2D barcodes like QR codes. So keep that in mind when considering this product. Do make sure you read the instruction booklet on how to initiate the scanner into the proper operation mode. This a good product at a good price.

It works as intended. Plug and play. The review that says they cannot remove the cable, the directions state to use the included paperclip to push into the removal hole.

Not a good product at all. Wireless kept dropping and had to constantly (every other scan) remove the USB stick and re-insert it. Manual is very incomplete. Wouldn't read barcode to enter programming mode to change things like timeout setting. I returned this and bought a different one.I'm updating this review. The vendor providing a new scanner at no charge in an effort to make things right. I changed from one star to three due to their follow up efforts.

These devices are excellent. We bought one for use in a laboratory to scan in data as a test of the product.. It worked well and we have bought several more and will continue to do so until we replace all of our corded devices. They are every bit the same quality as corded models we bought for 5 times the price from a major computer vendor.

Very Cheap made, The power cord is nearly impossible to disconnect without damaging it. We ended up returning and went with the Teemi 2.4 Ghz wireless automatic laser scanner and it is a much better product.

Arrived as expected, packaged well works good!

Don't waste your money for these 3 reasons:1) It made beeps but I never got it to function.2) Once you plug the cord in, you can't get it out.3) I requested a refund and they never responded.

Light use for two weeks and it quit working. Sent it back and got refund. If you need a solid scanner for serious work, it is not the one.
