Very effective and non-toxic bug repellent but wish less costly
I have used these patches with good success for the last three years. I live where West Nile Virus is fairly common so I am always concerned about getting bitten. While this product has a fairly strong citronella odor, it is affixed to clothing so that odor doesn't remain after the patch is removed. I usually apply two at a time: one for upper body/neck and one for lower body/shins and ankles. If I am outside for only a few hours, I replace the patches to their original pouch and seal it with a paper clip. The patches are supposed to last 12 hours --and do if resealed this way-- so they can go a long ways. That makes the fairly high price a bit easier to take. I would recommend these especially for those more sensitive to other repellents.

Smells strong, helps somewhat
Overall Rating and Effectiveness: 3 out of 5The box came with twelve of them - I spent around $8 including shipping, so if these stickers work, that's a pretty cheap price!I took them to the lake with me where I usually get bitten if I'm unprotected. I opened one up and stuck it on my shoulder/chest area on my shirt. Wow these patches smell quite strong! I actually moved it lower on my shirt because it smelled so strong. I went for a jog, and did some pushups... and then I felt mosquitoes land on my legs and later I was itching. But my upper body stayed free of bites...So I'm thinking that these stickers do help- but their range isn't very far. Because it's just a flat, small sticker, the air doesn't carry very far. I would recommend using more than one- maybe one for the upper body, and one for the lower body area.Comfort:It's a sticker that sticks onto your clothes - not your skin - so it's definitely comfortable! I actually couldn't put it too close to my face area, because the smell was pretty strong. I think I'm just not personally a fan of the lemony eucalyptus smell...Ease of Use:Simple box that contains 12 sticker pouches. Easy to tear open, and peel off! No issues there.Pros:- Strong lemon eucalyptus smell- Easy to open and stick on- Fairly cheap ($8 for 12 stickers, including shipping)Cons:- Each sticker only lasts for 12 hours they claim, compared to other wristbands that claim 200 hours. But I personally wouldn't try using those wristbands for 200 hours anyways... so 12 should be good enough.- One sticker isn't enough to provide protection for the whole body. nope they don't work!
Another nice idea, but they don't really work and I would NOT recommend them. I put these stickers all over us and the bugs did not care AT ALL! they had a feast on us. I recently purchased almost every reasonably priced mosquito repellent, diffuser contraption available. I would not recommend these as they just DO NOT work. The only thing that worked was the Repel lemon and eucalyptus deet free spray and the murphys mosquito sticks which are basically a smoke screen incense. The avon skin so soft worked too....

Not bad but not great
This product gave moderate protection against mosquitos. We were in south america where dengue fever is prevalent so we wanted the best protection. We still got mosquito bites but in combination with a high % deet spray, we weren't bit at all. So, our suggestion is to use both the patch and a good spray when your in mosquito territory.

Very effective and long lasting
I am a mosquito magnet and hate wearing heavy sprays. I have tried all light products but always end up getting bitten. Cutter and other heavy sprays only work one he areas you spray them on, god forbid i miss my ankles or the back of my legs. I bought skeeter guard mozzy in another country and feel this product is they best thing every created. all you have to do is peel, stick and go. problem is that the I could not find it in stores. I only found them online in the states. Here is some information on the making sure product is effective. like other citronella products placement of product is the key. You tube reviews has the user place product on their shirt. I found the best place to put the patch is my back pocket. Yes I put it inside the pocket, I don't like having a tacky sticker on my clothes. If I'm wearing a dress I place item on my underwear. It works great because that is the halfway point of my body.Now about the smell. Yeah this patch has a strong citronella odor, but it smells better than deet based products. When you wear the patch in your back pocket you will need to have a sensitive noise to smell it.Last, the patch is lean and long lasting. All you have to do is peel and stick, since it is in my pocket it is out of sight out of mind. I wash my hands and just go. I can rub my eyes and eat without worrying about getting chemicals in vital areas.In all this is a great product that everyone can use regardless of age.

worked well when there were not a lot of mosquitoes ...
worked well when there were not a lot of mosquitoes but when we went on a hike in the woods we all still got bitten. probably not as much as we would of though without them on
