BIGHOUSE G4 LED Light Bulbs, 2W, 180lm, 20W Halogen Bulb Equivalent, Warm White 3000K, DC AC 12V, Non-Dimmable(6 Pack)

I needed some led bulbs for the spots in the cooker hood.After checking in the shops found these on Amazon for half the price. As usual Amazon provided a prompt delivery service.They aren't made of glass but of a silicone. They produce a nice bright light for cooking by and were easy to fit into the spots.I can't yet comment on the longevity of the product hopefully as being led they should last a while. I have no complaints and would buy again.

I replaced the 12v 10w halogen bulbs in most of my Wickes garden lights with these LED bulbs. There is no flicker, in fact so far they are working perfectly. The transformer in use is a Techmar 50 watt. I wasn't sure if it was suitable for use with LED bulbs, but it is! I am not convinced the bulbs are twice as bright as the 10w halogen bulbs, but they certainly are brighter. You can decide by looking at the rather grainy photo. The two lights on the left are fitted with the LED bulbs, while the lamp on the extreme right still has the old halogen 10w bulb. Only time will tell how long these LED bulbs will last. I will report back on this (eventually).

Initially I thought these were duds, as after fitting 9 of them to my new light fitting, they would turn on initially but then go off either instantly or after a second or two.Turns out the problem was with my light fitting, which seems to dislike the low wattage and I think was switching itself off at the transformer on detecting it. Maybe a safety feature? Nothing in the fitting's instructions about it, but one to watch out for.Replacing one single bulb with a 10w halogen fixed the problem. The 8 remaining LEDs are now working fine.I like the fact they're soft silicone rather than glass. Brightness is same as the 10W halogen, hard to tell which is which.Too early to comment on longevity but I'll update here if I lose any.

Theses are pretty bright but they provide cooler light than I expected - they look quite blue to my eye.Something else that happened was the lights kept going out after a while. In fact this is not the fault of the bulbs rather it was the transformer which, it turns out, has a minimum load rating. I managed to get around this by using one conventional halogen bulb and the rest LED to make sure the transformer had the minimum load.

Needed to be a specific size. Fitted perfectly. Slightly brighter than those they replace and a little warmer colour too.I can't score longevity yet, they've been in for a month or so, but should do several years.Certainly a good product at a good priceEdit:They're now 3 months plus old and still delivering perfectly.Really happy with the colour tone and brightness. I bought an intricate light without realising what kind of bulbs it takes! Once the display bulbs went I had no idea what to look for. I found these and I was so relieved when these arrived - they fit perfectly, they are bright without being harsh and they were so easy to install. Knowing that they are energy saving too means a lot. Definitely recommend!

I installed it on the hub hood. Bright enough to see clearly while cooking. I liked the fact it doesn’t use glass. They use jell type of covering. That will lower the chance of breaking in transit or in your hand. Also safer to handle.

Had troubly in the past with different makes of bulb, they tend to flicker once they have been on for a few minutes. Don't have that trouble with these bulbs. They are instant on, silent running and good quality with no filcker. Good value and good seller who offers prompt delivery.
