Breathtakingly gorgeous and powerful stone! LOVE this!
What an enchantingly beautiful piece! Not quite palm-sized, my stone measures about 2.25" x 1.5" and has some incredible iridescence with flecks of blue, green, violet, and even magenta! The pyrite is minimal (fool's gold) just a few bits here and there but most of the stone's surface is bright vivid colors! I was a little concerned after sorting through many other listings for peacock ore and people generally tended to be disappointed in the slight amount of color, but this stone from CrystalAge is absolutely gorgeous! I'm so glad I bought from them!As far as the metaphysical properties of Peacock Ore, here's what I've found out so far:- Helps to increase creative energies and stimulate new ideas- Known as a stone of happiness, joy & uplifting- Turns you in positive directions- Helps us overcome the idea of “perfection,” encouraging us to embrace who we are and accept ourselves- Breaks up energy blockages to open up the crown chakra- Helps channel happiness to others- Stimulates your inner spirit, allowing you to find happiness and contentment in the moment- Aids in accepting that all is exactly as it should be- Encourages understanding that your life comes down to your perception of it- Helps identifying the new ways and opportunities that may be useful in accomplishing our dreams and goals- Encourages us to align our thoughts and emotions in a calm manner, and increases our perceptive abilitiesHOW TO USE IT: Hold it in your hands and say "Negative energy will not enter my space. I am surrounded by light and peace. This will amplify its properties for peace and protection."For healing properties, here are some of the highlight uses:- Synchronizes our body's cellular structure and metabolism- Helps in reducing fever and swelling- Regulates the flow of adrenaline in our bodies- Increases the blood circulation if you place it below the waist- Maintains an electrolyte balance in our body- For those who suffer from too much acidity, place this stone above the waist or near the navel for relieving the symptomsTIP: When used in Chakra healing, it is believed that when placed on one chakra it effects all of the other chakras as well.A little about Peacock Ore (aka. Chalcopyrite)...Some reviewers had complained that the color seemed to be "painted on" or "chipping off" but they don't understand the nature of Peacock Ore. The colors grow naturally in a very thin layer on the top of the rock. Peacock Ore is a copper iron sulfide mineral commonly found in hydrothermal veins and contact metamorphic rocks and it is actually the TARNISH that turns to iridescent shades of blue, pink, purple and green with bits of pyrite that account for the seeming gold bits.NOTE: Very similar to but NOT the same stone as Bornite! The bluish-purple color to this stone (at least the one I received) indicates that is stone is Chalcopyrite as it appears to have been enhanced with acid to produce bluish-purple Peacock Ore stone. The chemical structures are similar, but not the same: Chalcopyrite is CuFeS2 and Bornite is Cu5FeS4. The healing properties are very different as well. Also, since reviews take time and thought to write in a meaningful way and to photograph the product's usage, please click "yes" below if this review helped you! Not sure about the quality
This rock that came was super colorful, as peacock ore is, but the coloring and sparkles are scratching off. It's showing a ton of white underneath so not sure if it's supposed to do that. Good size tho

Small, too small.
So tired of crystal vendors selling us with misleading photos. Palm size? For a baby, maybe. It’s pretty but unimpressive in size considering the bait and switch photo shown:(

Not worth the gamble.
The rock I received was very small. Definitely not 2 inches . I wish mine looked like the pictures people are complaining about! It was chipped and the iridescent coating was only partially on 2 sides. The other two sides were just dull rock. It was the size and shape of half of a chapstick. I gave it to the neighbor boy so he could make a necklace.
