Keeps things neat.
Good build quality and functional. Very clean looking. Only negative is the cost. All of these items are overpriced by at least a factor of 2. I currently use this in a five gallon paint bucket with a return pump for gravel cleaning sessions. The rim clamp part is wide enough to accommodate the curve of the bucket.

Well made, high quality, great for the diy'r
Great packaging, high quality acrylic material. Will not fit over rim of (US) 40 gal Aqueon breeder tank. Although I had to modify (trim) a small section of the rim in order to use it. Does not affect integrity of tank whatsoever.

Great for Me!
I use this in my sump for weekly "dusting" on my 120 SWFO. I just pop in a filter sock and put the hose from my gravel filter into it. Reduces (not eliminates) the unnecessary amount of water changes. If you have a sand bed, I suggest securing the gravel filter tube on a rock above (8-12") and using a baster to turn the sand. Otherwise, the sock clogs too fast. Be aware of the hose going into the filter sock, also. I have a zip tie attached to the sock that I use for extra security. So happy with this buy. Saving me tons of money, and my tank is sparkling clean. Great way to deal with cyanobacteria, too.

Don’t install it while it’s cold!
It looks great and works as designed. Way better than spending 200$ on a sump with this feature built in (I consider filter socks essential for my reef tanks) and it lets me customize the sump to fit my needs and space.However! I brought my first order in from the cold porch and installed it tightly right away. It immediately snapped along the corner bend of the acrylic. I superglued it back together and it works fine and holds tight. But I still bought a second one cause I didn’t like the look of the glue.The added filter sock itself pretty much made it a no brainer though. It really offsets the cost of this acrylic add-on to make it easily worth the price. Can’t have too many socks!
