It works but the recessed portion is much small than any other fairlead I had. My factory fairlead and a badlands fairlead were both machines with a larger recess for the bolts. The smaller diameter recesses meant that I could either r move the entire winch assembly from my atv and use the bolts they provided with the fairlead or get nuts without a flange from the hardware store that matched the factory bolts
