Burt's Bees Brightening Eye Treatment, 0.5 Ounce

LOVE this eye cream. Instantly (and I mean instantly!) you feel it tightening up the skin around your eyes without too much of a pull. Several small drops under each eye is all I need to use, so the amount in the tube will last you a long time. I have definitely noticed that when I use it, it makes my eyes look more awake and refreshed. I have very sensitive skin under my eyes, and have had trouble finding an eye cream that didn't dry out my eyes, or cause any skin irritation. This one does none of those and really does keep the skin around my eyes soft and moisturized all day long. Not the easiest eye cream to find, but very glad to know that I can find it on Amazon when I need it. Price point is great too. I have paid far more for far less superior eye creams that I have ended up throwing out due to skin irritation, or because they just don't deliver what they promise they will. Another important bonus is that it is cruelty free. Love that very important detail.

I've just repurchased Burt's Bees Brightening Eye Treatment and also the "companion" product Skin Perfecting Serum. I use both daily, first the serum (all over my face) and then the eye-brightening treatment (on eyelids to browline and around/under eyes). I don't expect much from product claims to make skin more youthful; short of surgery or expensive procedures at the dermatologist, there aren't really any products that can give your middle-aged (late fifties) skin the look, resilience, and texture it had when you were 20. I do use an all-over alpha-hydroxy cream and/or a hyaluronic face cream, alternating day and night applications--mostly just to keep the cells turning over. But I do want to say that these two brightening products from Burt's Bees have indeed made the skin around my eyes calmer and brighter...more "even," perhaps. And I've actually noticed less crepey-ness on my upper lids, especially--not any lifting, of course, but the skin is dewier, even at the end of the day. These two products cost a little more than I usually am willing to spend, so for me to buy them again is something. Also, the absorption is fantastic--eye-shadow lines don't develop if I apply the shadow only a few minutes after applying the serum and then the creme. I will keep buying both products for twice-daily use. When my first tubes of each run out, I'll post how long they've lasted. Very happy!

When I received this product, unfortunately there was a leak in the tube and most of the cream had gone into the packaging. I had about a week's worth of cream left, which I have been applying. It is a very soothing cream and I applied it directly to a scar on my face. Even with the week only application, I noticed a softening in the scar and it is looking less red. It is supposed to lighten dark circles underneath the eyes, but I will likely write an additional review when I receive another tube. Apparently 95% of women sw a brightening of skin around the eye after using this eye treatment. The reason I gave it three stars is because I have not been able to use it for any length of time due to the leaking. Will edit this review when I have had a chance to use it longer.I am adding on the following comments. After using this product for several weeks, I am totally amazed how well this product works. The scar on my face has virtually disappeared, I can hardly see it anymore. The areas around my eyes definitely look lighter, but I am VERY thrilled with the disappearance of that ugly scar on my cheek. Needless to say, I have ordered another tube and will continue to use this. GREAT product!!!

Let me start by saying, I don't have the BEST before and after pictures. It was one of those things that just didn't occur to me. I needed an eye cream for moisture, but hadn't considered snapping photos of how bad my eyes were. It is a cold day in hell when you catch me taking photos without makeup on my under eyes. I'm like Droopy the dog with my bags and wrinkles. However, I did my best to find two pictures, one in 2016 and one in 2019, which show just how far my eyes have come and I have only been using the cream for about a year or so. They're much lighter and the wrinkles aren't as noticeable.The perks are that this cream is light, gentle, and made with natural ingredients. It does tingle ever so slightly when you apply it, but it doesn't cause burning or irritation. It works to light and brighten the under eye area. I also apply it to my upper eyelid because I suffer from eczema that dries my lids out pretty bad sometimes.I am quite pleased with this product and have every intention of continuing the use. Burt's Bees is a brand that I have been able to trust and rely on.

My Burt's Bees Brightening Eye Treatment arrived this morning! Lovely solid box packaging and 0.5 oz squeezable bottle that feels full. I am very impressed with the bottle tip, the flexible plastic end looks almost like a pencil and keeps the product from leaking or spewing. Cream comes out smoothly in a thin line. The scent is light and lemony, I noticed there is also orange extract, but the scent is much more daisy and lemon extract. It goes into the skin very lightly and my skin feels very soft.I deal with horrible exzema daily, so buying something without the word "sensitive" is a bit reckless of me. I've had the product on for ten minutes and I can't feel it at all - no rash or sensitivity, and my skin is super soft! I will update later, can't wait to see what it does for my occasional dark circles.

This is a great product! I really did see an improvement on reducing redness around my eyes. I followed the instructions and used it morning and night, after three weeks it made my skin around my eyes severely dry and red, it almost felt like it was burned. I stopped using it immediately. I plan on trying it again because I did see that it was working but I definitely won’t use it morning and night, probably once or twice a week.

I felt like the dark tint under my eyes was getting worse and bought this to use a few weeks before a wedding so I didn’t look super tired in pictures. I used it every day morning and night for 2 weeks and was very pleased with the change I saw. I haven’t used a ton of it so I think it will last a long time too.

It's not so effective I feel. I like the consistency of it and the nozzle helps to keep it clean.Expensive also. Over all worth giving a try.
