The media could not be loaded.  I have an acre property and lots of landscaping and trees so plenty of trimmings and leaves. This machine handled the clean up of a recent storms with ease. I recommend a bit of prep before actually starting the mulching process such as cutting the larger pieces at the forks of the wood. This makes the process go faster and it prevents wood getting stuck in the feeder.I cannot speak to the collection bag as I did not use it. I have a mulch pile on the back of my property so I just set the machine near the mulch pile and let the machine discharge directly onto the pile. The machine is easy to maneuver from barn to this location. This also makes the mulching process faster.The only negative that I experienced was the cover on the chute. It broke immediately while trying to install it on the machine. Lucky that I find I do not need it to operate the machine as I do.Another plus is that I have run the machine almost three hours of heavy workload on one tank of gas. It operates efficiently and saves time without having to stop your work to refill the tank.

This chipper works really well. I had a large limb fall down along with a lot of other brush I needed to get rid of. It was either pay someone or haul it off which would pay for the chipper, and I can't burn it. I also have a garden that I will compost this down so I don't have to buy soil anymore. I didn't use anything larger than 2" limbs and will use the rest in the fireplace and to cook with. I ended up with 12 large bags of mulch which chops it up in about 1/4" pieces. This chipper works really well and has a lot of power. I absolutely love it

Edited Jan 2024. Original review @ Feb 2023. The GOOD: This is a branch eating, leaf chewing, twig grinding monster! See pic of the results of leaves branches and twigs chewed up by the machine. I’ve run it for about a week straight now and am pleased with its compact design and mechanical performance.The BAD: 1: The PLASTIC connector cracked/ broke (see pic) I tried to repair it with epoxy but It didn’t really hold together. That’s a crucial part if you want to catch the ejected debris from the machine. Replacement cost is @ $37 plus shipping.2: The bag threading is coming undone (see pic) They used a light gauge thread where I would recommend a heavy duty nylon thread with double or triple stitching. To replace the bag it’ll cost @ $134 unless you have some sewing skills.3. In October 2023 as I was inspecting the machine I bought in Feb 2023 up for Fall work I discovered the welds on the leaf hopper were coming apart. It was difficult establishing communications with the CS dept but eventually I did and was promised a replacement hopper by December 2023. It’s now Jan 2024 and still no hopper.4. The cutters go dull after one season and the design requires you to purchase special locking devices for the bolts that secure the cutters.1 star for poor quality and poor customer service.The performace is 4 starsMaterial quality is 1 starsWarranty Support 1 starOverall rating is 1 stars.

So far so good. It starts right up every time I use it. Have not had a problem with it as long as you follow the guidelines it will last.

good for price butt needs more power: update: after using it a few times i learned what i was doing rong.it works ok now for what i got it for.cleaning up the woodyard of bark ind scraps.the hopper started breaking the welds at the bottom.i called customer service.sent some pictures and she sent a new hopper in less then a week.very good custer service the girl i spoke with was in the us and very nice and easy to understand.so for the custer service i now up my review to five stars.theres a lot to be said for us.manufacturers with customer service in the us.i will buy more earthquake products

A couple of months of use and so far so good. Assembly is a little tricky, take your time, ID all the parts, read other reviewers tips on assembly will help. The unit is easy to start and seems to have plenty of power.After a couple of months of light use the plastic ring on the bag broke. It only important if you want to use the bag in the unit. Replacement price is high so use caution ordering this unit.

Shipping was fast. It was fairly easy to assemble. Runs great, started on the first pull. Does exactly what I needed, chipped up tons of limbs, pine needles and dry pine cones. It makes perfectly sized mulch.Only one con, it takes a strong pull to start it, but I am sure that is needed for it to function.So far I am thrilled with this purchase. It’s actually fun to use and nowhere near as noisy as I expected.

When I bought this product I wished I had bought the one with the bigger engine. But after trying this unit out the engine is plenty big enough for my needs. This unit chops the limbs into small enough pieces that you can use the clippings as mulch a great little machine. But watch out for the shipping. The unit come partially damaged in shipment. I had to bend and straighten the bottom of the hopper where it connects to the rest of the machine. It came with a guard that is supposed protect the the mounting bracket of the hopper. But it came off during shipping therefore the mounting bracket got damaged during shipping. I thought it was easier to fix it myself then to ship it back or wait for the part.
