Made in China, 'cancer and birth defects' warning
Ok, so I got suckered in by the designed, machined, etc in USA claim on the Amazon description. This claim is apparently FALSE since the two I ordered pretty clearly say 'made in China' on them. This would be more of a problem for me if the price was more than the other similar non-US options here, but it was about the same. They also come with a California cancer and birth defects warning on them. I realize even the 'lead free' plumbing parts you can get now usually contain some small percentage of lead (which is unacceptable, for God's sake...). Or it could be some chemical in the gaskets, who knows (I wish the proposition 65 warnings actually gave specific information instead of just 'something in this product can cause birth defects or cancer'). Anyway the ones I got (24") are also maybe 1/2" different in length from each other, which doesn't matter much to me but does speak for the quality control in manufacturing. Not sure if I will keep these or return. I should have got 'lead free' ones. Besides the 'made in USA' claim, the other reason I chose these is that they are available with 1" FIP on one end and 3/4" FIP on the other which would make my installation cleaner not needing adapters...

Great hoses
These hose are far, far superior to the stainless-braid covered hoses that break down and don't bend as well. They are very flexible and I feel this hose will last as long as the water heater (12 year warranty - 12 year life). My installation required some interesting bending of the hoses to match up the inlet/outlet (see pic). These QuickFlex hoses worked like nothing else would.

The 1" QFC-0124 is defective, and the company won't make it right.
I purchased (3) QFC-0124 1"x1"x24" hoses and everything looked great at first. I noticed a slight drop in water flow after I installed them, but thought maybe my water softener had issues. After breaking it all down, it turns out the hose has a serious flaw. The rubber washer inside measures at a 0.75" inner diameter (opening) and restricts water flow. Reminder, this is sold as a 1" hose and there is no indication that under the hood it's 0.75". For comparison, I have a 1" sharkbite hose that's similar (Sharkbite is owned by the same company that owns Holdrite), and it has a 1" rubber washer in it.I have tried two phone calls over a two week span, submitting an online request on Holdrite's website, and submitted a question on Amazon regarding this issue. Promises of calling me back that never happen when I do call them. Unacceptable customer service by Holdrite, and it makes me not want to purchase anything related to this company again.I now have to go out and buy 3 other hoses and re-hook everything up (not an easy, clean, simple task).

Not Very Flexible, Washer Is Very Touchy
This thing is not very flexible. I am using it for a seasonal purpose where it will be installed and uninstalled a couple times a year. It is pretty stiff and makes install and removal harder than I prefer. When I first installed it there was a large leak at the connection. I took it apart, redid the connection, and it still leaked. On the third attempt I noticed that with enough force and tightening the nut too quickly that the washer became unseated. This caused it to partially encroach on the ID of the hose and left a gap on the outer edge of the nut where water leaked. So I made sure to tighten it down slowly until the washer was snugged into place, and then I applied more force to lock it down. It didn't leak then, but I suspect every time I attach it that this will be something I have to watch for. That said, this is being used in a somewhat rugged location so I am hoping this will last longer than a rubber hose.

good quality hook up and easy installation.
I was replacing my water softener that the original hoses were 3/4" pipe thread on both ends and the new unit had 1" input so I tried adaptors. That was miserable and it leaked. Also home depot didn't have what I needed. I found these on line at Amazon and they were just what I needed. I put them on hand right and one connection leaked. I lightly tightened the fittings just part of a turn and all leaks stopped and everything is perfect. It was also easy to get them bent into the proper shape and they held that shape. It turned a bad experience into a very satisfying event.

180 Degree Turn Significantly Shortens
Impressed with the overall quality of this. Had a hard time finding 1" anything in my area. Purchased this to help make installing my new water softener easier. The current setup was created for a cabinet style softener. I needed to switch to a two part system. The existing Pex outlet faced downward. I needed to make 180 degree turn upward to attach to the elbow on the new valve (much higher than old). To make a 180 degree turn you need about 6" in "depth." Imagine the pipe like a "U" and the distance from the outside edge of one side to the outside edge of the other is 6". May or may not be relevant to your setup. Even then there's a lot of pressure from the pipe trying to spring straight. Second, a 180 degree turn shortens this to a 15" hose (tip of nut to tip of other nut). 90 degree bend shortens this to 17" (tip of pipe to bottom side of bend). I was surprised at how little thread is left to screw this onto something. Maybe .25". But with the rubber seal inside and some plumbers tape you should be fine. If you decide to do a bend, support your pipes so you don't break anything in the long run.

Perfect for a professional installation.
Perfect. This flexible water heater hose/pipe is electrically isolated, so works against corrosion at the heater or the the pipe junction. Be careful about other similar looking flexible connectors that are missing non-conducting plastic insulators at the connection ends.I have found that I prefer these corrugated stainless steel connectors to the braided variety, because during installation they can be formed into a shape that does not stress the joints or other plumbing components. The braided type wants to return to the straight and narrow, and puts pressure on the other components to come along.

No leaks
I had to replace my water softener. The prior 2 water softeners were a salt system. The salt softeners only lasted about 10-12 years. I wand a no maintenance system with a 1" valve so the water pressure wouldn't go down. These flex lines with some teflon tape mad it easy to install the new water softener, no leaks. Highly recommend these flex lines.

Great product. Well Made.
Great product. I bought the 18". Sadly have to return it because I need a very tight radius, 18" just won't turn tight enough but maybe a 24-30" will give the wiggle room.. Re-measuring to see if a longer length may work because it really is a well made connector. Also bought a 1"x18" and am keeping it. Same issue (radius) but am sure I'll need it sooner or later.

Missing a gasket.
Came in two separate packages four days apart. Items are ok but one was missing a rubber gasket. Had to take one out of my garden hose.

Great for water heater supply line
Worked perfect as a replacement for my old hoses which had rubber inside which was deteriorating and leaving black specks in our hot water.
