Normande Lighting GP3-769A-BK 13W Daylight Spectrum Desk Lamp with Magnifier and Organizer Base, Black

I bought this lamp for the work space where I do nail art. The fact that it is freestanding is great, as a clamp-on would not work for me. The magnifying lens is made of plastic and is a disappointment. I may use it occasionally but not very often. As for this daylight quality of the bulb, I don't really get it. To my perception, it makes colors look kind of unnatural. Better than fluorescent light, though. The storage compartment on the base could be handy, but the top part does not fit very snugly and is very easy to knock off....not a good thing if you have stuff sitting on it. The adjustable arm of the lamp gives you a decent amount of flexibility in placement of the light, so that's a plus. The bulb gets warm when it's on for a while but not so hot that you would worry about the housing melting. This lamp is usable but if you are looking for something mainly for a good magnifier, spend a little more.

This is just the lamp I have been looking for. It fits just right on my creafts table and I am able to use the Magnifer for my crafts that I need to have close work. The lamp and Magnifer are easy to move into place. Easy to put together.
