Simple yet Effecient
I bought this charger for a trip to China and it has been working perfectly for the past 2 days. This adapter is obviously not a converter so don't plug a hairdryer in it. Otherwise, it works with most modern electronic devicesPROS+ The ability to plug in 3 devices; I have a laptop and phone almost constantly plugged in with no problems+ Defined plug inputs that fit plugs very snugly+ Elegant and light design, not bulky or hideous+ No overheating after hours of charging+ Half the price of cheaper adapters+ Fast shippingCONS- The mechanisms are not always smooth, especially the slider underneath the USBs- The instructions are in Chinese; I'm Chinese and the wording is confusing

Nice Adapter
Well constructed. The plastic is not flimsy and the pins not wobbly. The slides for the different prongs are released by the button on the opposite side and they lock securely. Unfortunately the slides are not labeled, so you'll will have to try each slide to find what you need. One weakness is the current capacity which is limited by the manufacturer to 2.5A. Nice thing though is that the unit is fused to ensure that the user does not exceed the limit. Not sure where you can find a half inch 2.5A (250V) fuse if you accidently blow the fuse with a high power device. I think the designers should improve the handling capacity to 13A or 15A which is the capacity of most outlets.

The Rubik's Cube Of Travel Chargers
No, it really isn't as complex as a Rubik's cube, but it looks that way. This is a very large device, 2.5 X 2.5 inches across and 2 inches deep. It has very ingenious slider mechanisms that function to allow you to do any of four power sources: UK, Europe, Australia, or the US. The US is especially interesting, because it uses the same "blade connectors" as the Aussie version, and you simply twist the blades either vertical (US) or slanted (Australia). For the UK, the lower post is made of plastic, which means it is not meant to be used with devices that are grounded. However, it does have a fuse for the UK power source. The Euro socket is the standard two round prong connector. All voltages have dual USB outputs, one at 1A (older devices) and one at 2A (newer phones). The connector has two other features. First, there is a red power indicator on one side, which is nice because you know it is working. The other item is that one side has female plugs, so it can function as a power outlet while still powering up the two USB ports. That is nice because you don't lose use of the plug when getting your USB power. In use, I found that the sliders were difficult to move, but after a couple of usages it loosened up and became easier to slide. Other than that, it did fine, supplying voltage to both USB ports and passing through the voltage to the female ports. There is an important note: When plugging into the female ports, there is no voltage conversion. This means that if you plug into a 220V connector, even though there is a port that will accept a US 110v plug, don't use it! That port is carrying 220v and will fry anything not meant for that voltage. Note that most USB adapters and things like that will work for either 110 or 220. Check the small print on the device being used - it will say the allowable voltages. The downside of this design is that it is pretty bulky; the upside is that all the adaptors are in one place. I have a couple of travel adapters for which I no longer have all the plugs, making them useless. That can't happen with this one.The instructions were in Chinese!Summary: A bulky but very useful adapter. Highly recommended. Please note that I received this free of charge, so I could review it.

Thoughtful Design - Has No Loose Parts to Lose
While traveling to foreign countries, I've been using adapter plugs for decades. Before most electrical gadgets sold in the USA would work on 240 volts, I also brought a small step-down transformer with me, so I could avoid frying my US devices with the high foreign voltages. Fortunately most modern portable electrical devices including electric shavers, laptop computers, tablet and smart phone chargers have universal power supplies that will work just fine on either 120-volts or 240-volts.Now that the challenge of using different voltages has largely been solved, making sure that I have the right plug adapter when I travel is all that remains. In the "old days" I carried a small cloth drawstring bag with an assortment of adapters; always hoping that I had not lost the one that I would need. On one of my trips to Europe I bought a plug adapter set that incorporated an assortment of plugs and sockets in a rubberized cube. Even though such an arrangement organized my plugs better than a cloth bag, it still would not prevent me from losing one of the adapters. This Universal plug adapter, received as a sample in exchange for an honest review, was obviously made for travelers like me. It has no loose parts or plugs for me to misplace. All of its capabilities are all built into a single plastic cube. It has every conceivable socket on the top to accommodate any plug worldwide and it has the same wide range of retractable plugs at the other end to fit any foreign power socket that I've ever seen. There is nothing to come loose and therefore no parts to go astray. I suppose I could lose this entire adapter during my travels, but I believe that would be far less likely than losing one of a set of loose adapter plugs. This adapter also has two 5-volt DC USB charging ports for smartphones, tablets and other USB powered/charged devices. The instruction manual was obviously written by someone for whom English was not his/her first language. Although it was understandable, it was also entertaining, especially the way it repeatedly reminded me that it did not change the AC voltage when it adapted the plugs. A built-in fuse prevents overloading the adapter, but it would have been thoughtful for the manufacturer to include a spare, since a blown fuse renders the adapter inoperable. Overall, this universal plug adapter is thoughtfully designed and will accompany me the next time I travel overseas.
