That way, the sun on elements won't effect what is inside of the bottle becuase of the cobalt technology- not really sure how it doe it, but cobalt blue bottles are the only ones I have that don't loose its potency when left outside .The bottles are small, but , when you want it to be a sample to draw people in and want them to want more, then you need a smaller bottle. Also a smaller bottle allows you to stick it in your pocket easier and effortlessly.The lids are secured and nothing exploded in either the kids or the husbands pocket, which is always a test for me. This is so cute! The bottles are dark colored to preserve the essential oils you place inside. It comes in a cute little box and is a super awesome gift size. I would Definately use these as an essential oil distributor for gifts at parties. Cute enough to use as a gift, big enough to give a couple tries of each smell, small enough to make someone want to purchase the product. In my opinion this set is perfect. Mabey a little small if trying to do a gift for friend or family, but essential oils are very expensive! This small size is a great idea! I love to make and give essential oil blends but having bottles for it can be an issue. thanks to this nice set I have the ability to give oils without any issues. Now I make nice sized batch of a particular oil blend and give it to all that I want to and not have to worry about the big bottles costing so much is a great thing. I am very pleased with this set the little bottles are easy to fill. The caps go on easy and the lids screw tight. My labels are a perfect fit and we are ready to go. I love using this set it is so nice and neat and just what I needed. These blue glass drams are perfect! I use them to send samples of essential oils to friend and family. Do not leak, sturdy cap and bottle. not thin glass so if it is dropped in my experience it wont shatter. You can get around 20 drops of oil in each bottle, that's a lot for a sample, and will last a long time. When using thicker oils you will have less drops in each bottle and with thinner oils more drops, so you have to judge for yourself, when filling these 1/4 dram bottles. Easy to put the lid in place for secure fit, no leakage and that's a good thing, considering I carry these in my purse for handing them out. The labels I have fit perfect right on the lid!!
