Patons Kroy Socks FX Yarn, 2-Pack, Deep Sea Colors Plus Pattern

The yarn is great. You should be aware that what I got were the two balls of yarn ONLY. There was NO pattern included. So, if you need a pattern, you're going to have to find one yourself.As it happens, I didn't really want a pattern because I've written my own pattern and didn't need one.I've used this brand before, and the amount you get is skimpy. I've gotten a sock out of each one before, though, but this time, two inches from the toe, I had almost NO yarn left! I wound up ripping out most of the top-down sock to shorten the leg so I could get a whole sock out of it, and I'm getting near the toe, and feel like I'm playing yarn chicken. I'll be lucky to have enough to finish the toe. I wear an 8-1/2 or 9 shoe, and since that's about average size, unless you have a tiny foot, or want socks with no leg, you'll need an extra ball of yarn.Also, the photo on my computer looked like it was mostly dark blue with a touch of mustard yellow running through in places. The actual color was mostly turquoise, with a touch of lime green. I've worked as an artist since before computers were used for art, and I'm aware of the differences of photos, and how they show up on computers, but this was a bad match-up between the way it appears and what you'll get.

This is my go to product for all my handknit socks.

Knits well. I keep buying additional skeins.

The pattern that was included was a very poor copy .... barely readable!!! Very disappointed!

Patons Kroy and Kroy FX is the most durable sock yarn for the money. It is slightly thicker than fingering, but not quite sport weight. Not the softest, but has a high twist and wont pill. Great for making socks to go under boots and running shoes.

I love this yarn, perfect for socks and the variegated color is beautiful.

This pattern calls for 17" before reducing stitches for the toes for men's socks. The skein ran out of yarn right before this point. Seriously! If your pattern says 1 skein per sock, I shouldn't run out 21 rounds short!
