Long enough to get a good grip!
I've seen shorter barbs listed, but this one is a good length so your hose can get a decent grip on it and secure firmly on it with no leaks.

Good Garden Hose Repair
The barbed fitting fit my newer 5/8" garden hose very well for a great repair. Secured the hose to the fitting with aircraft safety wire instead of a hose clamp for secure but low profile repair.

Very nice fittings!
These are very nicely made and very thin walled for Good Flow!! I’ve seen lots of brass fittings for hoses that are way to thick and l’m always concerned about it causing a restriction in flow.
