Excited about getting these in the outdoors!
I bought these for an upcoming trip to the beach, but for now I'll have to settle for wearing them around the house. I normally wear an 11.5 WIDE, and have on occasion had the need to go to a size 12 WIDE, depending on the brand shoe or boot I wear, but these DO NOT come in half-sizes, nor in a WIDE version. Having read numerous reviews (good and questionable), and utilizing the sizing chart on this site and other sites, I was a bit skeptical as to whether or not this item would fit me well. I ended up ordering a size 12, and they seem to fit very nicely. The overall length is pretty good, with just a slight hint of extra room in the toes (maybe 1/8" - 3/16") left over at the tips. So, I would have to say that they probably fit true to size. I have worn them for approximately 4-5 days, and so far they feel great! Some folks complained about how hard it was to put them on, but I've had no problem with that. It does feel a bit odd at first, having your second toe (next to your big toe) going into its own pocket, but after 5-10 minutes you don't even think about it. Based on what I know thus far, I would highly recommend these!

Glad I like these, cause they aint coming off without a fight.
A bear to get on or off, but I do get my toe exercises in for the day. Once on, their fine. My foot is 8 1/2- 9 EEE. These are wide enough and the sole comes up around the side of the shoe starting just behind the toes. Good design in that part of the shoe. But, the back top of the shoe scrapes into my Achillies heel and there is no way to pull on or pull off the shoe from the back. This is the spot where the elastic pull cord is ,and also the seam of the shoe. So a bit sharp. I'm sewing a small strip/loop of of neoprene to act as both a heel protector and pull tab . Should work OK.

Great shoes for walking riverbeds and swimming. Sharp rocks are no problem
I bought these shoes to replace a pair of water shoes that were starting to deteriorate and were really uncomfortable. It took an hour or so of having these on until I got used to the 3 toe pockets. Initially I was concerned they wouldn't fit my toes. My second toe is longer than my big toe, then the last 3 are all much shorter and sort of curl under. Was not a problem with these shoes and once you get used to the feeling of the material between your first 3 toes they are pretty comfy. There is a velcro strap over the instep, as well as a cinch strap behind the heel, so you can get these pretty well adjusted to your feet. I liked the adjustments, since most water shoes I have had in the past never seem to fit well. These are MUCH wider than a normal "shoe" style shoe. I found it to be a big help in the water. The wider toe-box offset the disadvantage of swimming in water with shoes on- the shape ends up being almost like a mini fin. I could swim as good or better than if I had been barefoot. I have a 4 and 5 year old that wear life preservers and I swim around with. With these shoes on there were no problems keeping up with them (or treading water when they were trying to drown me). They also did fairly well walking along the riverbank and river bottoms. The area I am in has a lot of flint, and flakes can be razor sharp (this is the stuff arrowheads were made of). The sole protected me from any cuts or scrapes and I had no issues stepping on branches or with thorns. The shoes are more of a barefoot style- the soles are extremely flexible and don't really provide any support. If you are unaccustomed to the this type of shoe and want to use them for anything other than swimming you may need a transitional period. When you step on an object (rock, tree branch, etc.) the shoe is going to flex around it. You will feel the edges and points of the object. It won't penetrate the shoe, but if you are on uneven terrain (such as a rock riverbed) your feet may get sore after awhile. I prefer to go barefoot and wear this style shoe so I had no issues with it, but something to be aware of. If you are on sandy beaches, mostly in a kayak, or swimming, this won't be as much of an issue.Bottom Line- These were exactly what I needed in a water shoe for river use and when these are worn out I will buy the same model as replacements.

Different than Vibram 5 Fingers but good
I tried these 3T barefoot as an alternative to the Vibram 5 Fingers. Both are good. These are sturdier than my 5 Fingers V-Aqua in terms of feel and thickness of materials . Whether they are more durable or not is TBD, but they have a more substantial sole making it easier to walk on rough surfaces. Grouping the three small toes together makes them easier to put on and minimizes the problem of stubbing the small toe, although I really have not had a problem with my 5 Fingers. On the other hand my 5 Finger V-Aquas are super light and much more like being barefoot. They allow better gripping with the toes and I think are much better if you actually want to swim. Other 5 Finger models may be close to these 3Ts in terms of thickness of materials.

Worst water shoe ever.
This seemed like a neat water shoe. Figured the individual toes and minimalist yet rugged sole would work well. Was very disappointed on so many levels with these. First off the fit was terrible. Big toe and the one right next to it were tough to get in and out of the shoe wet or dry. The toe box that the rest of the toes went into was to large and oddly shaped so your foot did not plant correctly when walking.Looking at the shoes design with the drainage holes and the screen I thought that sand would not get in the shoes. I was very wrong. Within minutes of wearing these on the beach I had sand, and small rocks all through out the shoe. Also the spandex that the entire shoe except for the sole is made of offers little protection from rocks or sticks if you venture off the beaten path.Without exageration this is the worst water shoe I have ever purchased. Brought these on a trip to Hawaii and after the first short miserable experience with them I was forced to buy a replacement or go without for the trip. The cheap $20 pair that I picked up performed far better than these. Poor design, poor execution, there is no way they put these through any real world testing as they literally filled with sand in seconds. Whats the point of water shoes if they fill with sand and rocks the moment you step on the beach?
