I am writing this review within 30 mins after receiving this item.I have to say I don't write reviews whether good or bad . But I am compelled to write this review ,simply because am impressed with the overall service/ delivery of this delicate food group . First of ,the packaging was neat and superb , the product tastes clean , fresh and delicious. Am almost through with one bottle. The enclosed leaflet about the care of the product is succinct. The package arrived when they said it will .I read previous buyers review and thought , take a chance still was skeptical.I am not one way person to please when it comes to food. The Madge's food company delivers what they promise .I am very pleased and will order many more times .

The quality and taste were excellent. The amount of hotness was perfectly balanced. The cuts of the cabbage were not shredded, and instead were more like homemade. The glass bottle packaging was sealed with multiple layers of plastic wrap, inside of another sealed large thick plastic bag, when it arrived.The only downside is the cost per bottle is a little high for the amount you get, including the shipping, which is just regular packaging, and not frozen (dry ice). I would recommend purchasing multiple bottles at the same time to save on the single shipping price.Also, for one person, 1 bottle will last about a week, if eaten regularly as a side dish.

The product is great, crunchy and delicious. But if you’re looking for hot this is not it! That being said, I like things really hot so if you like medium hot this is the bomb. The only reason I gave it three stars instead of five is the price.

First, the package arrived in a medium ziplock- type plastic bag. The jar was leaking inside the bag, no seal inside the jar either- the lack of proper packaging is absurd at this price 17.99 (after you are charged the extra $7.99 fee for standard shipping, that's 80% the cost of the item!!!). . 2. Arrived late. 3. I love Kimchi, typically my mother in law or Korean friends will make this for gatherings and is always great.... anyone who is familiar w/ kimchi realizes there is a very strong, distinctive aroma. This brand however, smelled nothing like traditional kimchi- the smell was awful and that is putting it mildly- maybe it was rancid, bad batch. I don't know but would NOT recommend!

Flavor was excellent! Cons; would have it ferment a bit longer, original Kimchi is usually soft, due to fermentation for a fair amount of time, but spice is dead on. Good product

Its a bit on the expensive side when you add in the shipping and handling, but the flavor is far better than any kimchi I can get locally, so its worth the price. The only real complaint I have is the listings on Amazon for the hot and for the spicy look like the same item; one just has a lot more verbiage in the name than the other. I thought I was ordering one hot and one spicy and instead got 2 spicy.

For this being a vegan product it still smells and taste like regular kimchi! I’ve been on the hunt for a while for even a regular kimchi that I like, and I figured let’s take a shot at a vegan base since I haven’t in a while. I am blown away and you have a forever customer! I got the “hot” and it's perfect for spicy lovers, keeps making you eat more and more. Give it a try! Also Madge’s…. Please make more “kimchi” items, such as radish or green onions!

The product comes well packaged. I bought two jars. One of which slightly leaked. It was contained within the packaging. Based on a previous product I tried from the grocery store. I highly enjoyed the grocery store kimchi. This kimchi is so much better. I thought I bought mildv. I got the hot. It isn't over the top hot. It's at a level that is acceptable to me.I can't say enough about this kimchi. I love, love it.Most important they do not add sugar. That alone makes me a lifelong customer. Add sugar and I will stop purchasing this product.I am now a repeat customer. The product is consistently excellent. I love this kimchi and eat a bit before each dinner.
