Works for our needs
Got this for my grandfather so he can eat meals in front of the TV. I was worried the top portion would twist to easily and spill his food, but that's not a problem at all. It's very easy to adjust the height and pivot the top as needed. The base is also very sturdy. The whole table is mostly particle board, so it's quite heavy. The two drawers are not on tracks, so they do not slide in/out very smoothly, but are usable. Also note, the corners are sharp! My grandfather cut himself on the edge of the table, and I have scratched myself on it more than once during and after assembly.I've built a lot of furniture like this so I figured it out, but the instructions/parts definitely could use some improvement. Not all the parts were labeled, so it took a solid 20 minutes for me to measure everything so I knew which part was which. Once I did that, assembly went relatively smoothly (though still took 1-2 hours). There were some points where it was hard to tell which side was front/back or top/bottom of a part. Some stickers on the parts or clearer images on the instructions would have been helpful. Also, most of this table can be assembled by one person easily, but you will need a hand from someone near the end of assembly to help hold some of the sides while you screw on other parts.

The table on top is not designed to swing.
Follow the directions as there are a lot of pieces. Once you figure out what piece is what its not bad. One note: the table on top is not made to swing back and forth. If you want it to swing, as I do, than you can't adjust the height. You have to keep the "height" dial open which keeps the two tables 6 inches apart. However, the dials under the top table (which allow the table to tilt) extend 3 inches down. So your clearance is actually 3 inches, not 6 inches. The main body is just under 20 1/2 inches from the ground (wood floors) with the rollers on. My chair is 18 inches from the ground giving me a leg clearance of just under 5 1/2 inches (20.5 - 18 = 2.5 + 3 = 5.5). Works for me so I've kept my rating at 5 stars.

Faulty instructions, but like the product
As others have stated, the physical parts are not labeled, so you have to deduce which is which, while taking them out of the box. Once I labeled them all myself, assembly went well until the very end.Instructions include a part list, which looks like someone with the wrong typewriter added a part "P: 35 Flat-Head Screw x ," at the bottom. This screw is never needed throughout the assembly instructions.Instruction part list denotes, "M: 6*25 Flat-Head Screw x 10". 10 is incorrect, as 12 of these screws are needed.2 are needed in Step 7 to secure "Part B: 40 Round Tube" to "Part 7: Middle Panel"6 are needed in Step 10 to secure "Part 9: Desktop" to the "Part D: Baffle Bar[s]"2 are needed in Step 12 to secure "Part 11: Drawer Front" to "Part 10: Drawer Decorative Panel"--BUT THERE ARE TWO DRAWERS--So, when you need to repeat Step 12, to secure the second drawer, you are out of screws.Since there are two additional screws in the parts list (P: 35 Flat-Head Screw x 2") which serve no other purpose in assembly, I attempted to use those, and damaged the decorative drawer, because the unnecessary [P] screw is too long. I called Amazon, because I had the whole thing built already, and couldn't send it back. Amazon, of course, has these things in a warehouse, and can't just send out a single part or two. The sent out a WHOLE NEW ONE, which I've taken the missing/damaged parts from, and finished my table. Except....One other assembly fault:Top drawer will not fit snugly into recessed position. Bottom drawer does. Top drawer is impeded by "Part 7: Middle Panel" being assembled (through pre-drilled holes) too low. By about 3/16th of an inch. See photos. So, when I get ahold of my neighbor who is likely to have a sander or a Dremel of some kind, I can finally finish the table.

Directions need a LOT of work!
I've put together a LOT of kit furniture so expected that like others I've done, pieces would be marked with little stickers denoting what part it was. The directions, say item "A" goes here.....but....No item had an "A". This is just an example. I spent 2 hours putting this table together. I had to compare every little hole in the picture to each board & measure them in order to figure out WHICH BOARD WAS WHICH so I could putvit together correctly! This kit does comecwith a cute little screw driver, but, you will want to break out an electric one! Trust me, the # of times I had to take itcapart & put it back together because the directions were not clear would have left my wrists hurting!I bought this ahead of having surgery on my hand which will have a 4 month recovery time (min). Posatives: the swing over laptop tray is tiltable & the hight is wonderfully adjustable. The 2 drawers offer great storage fore the important things that must be close at hand (tissues, medication, current book, or a tablet if you so choose). If they had included better directions on how to put this together & had put corresponding stickers to denote what parts are what, then I would have gladly given 5 stars. If you decide to buy this, BEWARE of the short falls. That aside, is a nice table.

A great desk, buy a headack to assemble.
This desk works great for my laptop. It has two drawers, a shelf, and a magazine rack. I have a nice recliner in my living room and I can swell the top in many different ways to fit my need. BUT it was a real pain to put together. None of the parts were labeled. The pictures helped. In my 83 years I have put many items together so this was not my first Rodeo. My suggestion is to make sure to have someone to help you put it together if you have never put any furniture together before.

Be wary of this product. I wouldn't purchase again.
This took forever to assemble. The parts are not labeled and some are similar so I had to get my tape measure to determine which part was which and then label it myself. The screw driver with the kit was too small and I had to resort to using my own. Thank goodness that I had one. The desk top is not stable. I cannot put my laptop on it. With a couple of books on it, it bends down and everything falls off. It has to stay in a flat state and never slanted. It is useful for the purpose I needed it. The drawers are good size and I can swivel the top over my chair without the desk interfering.
