Brilliant integration with smart speakers.
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. So, I purchased this yesterday and it arrived promptly today. The packaging is really professional, it just feels premium rather than a cheap Chinese import.I set it up and linked it to my WiFi within about a minute. It was really easy.It has various settings on it in terms of heating options, but they are really simple to understand: essentially different temperatures and an option to keep water warm.It boils fast. You also don't actually need to use the app or your voice, there are buttons on it.But here's why I bought it..... "Hey Google, turn the kettle on!"I have Google and Alexa smart speakers at home and it works perfectly. I would really like them to add Smartthings integration so that I can set up some more complex scenes. But for now, say good morning to Google, switch on the lights and the heating and boil the kettle... All without getting out of bed!Thumbs up from me!

Great looking WIFI kettle
This kettle does exactly what it states. It was very easy to context to WiFi and Alexa. The overall appearance looks solid and is finished off very nicely. I do think the boiling time is a little longer than standard kettles but not such a big issue if you use the app to turn on.The reason I can only give it four stars is that more can be done to make this kettle better. Such as the WiFi light is always on and it’s a big light which very annoyingly lights up the whole room, this needs to be made smaller or haven an option to turn off.I think the app is a little basic and I would like to see more options on it for programming specific times, although this can be done through Alexa. It would be nice if they could incorporate a water level indicator into the app.Overall I would recommend this product but hope that with minor updates they can make it a 5-star product.

The best kettle! Boil water from anywhere.
I've had this kettle for a couple of days now and I love it. It was really easy to setup. Holds a good amount of water (1.7L) and the different heat settings are great for different teas. My favourite thing about it is boiling the kettle before getting up in the morning, getting up when the app tells me it has boiled and then going through for a cup of tea (or coffee). Best mornings ever! :)

Avoid! Software is rubbish and it's anything but a SMART kettle!!.
Absolutely Rubbish!. Took me 5 mins to connect smart doorbell and strip lights, took me over an hour to connect this. Process is overly complicated and messed up, software that goes with it is rubbish, refused to connect with ezymode. Had to separate bandwidth and turn off 5G to get it to connect. My partner wanted to be able to use it as well. So set up a home profile, the problem is it then kicked me out so had to go through whole rigmarole again. Got it connected again created home profile sent her invite she accepted logged in and can't even get access to the kettle. So gave up on that idea and thought will just connect straight to the supposedly smart kettle, got her connected and then proceeded to kick me out. So if you can be bothered spending over an hour getting it connected and you live alone because 2 people clearly can't access the connection at the same time then this is the kettle for you. Advertised as a "Smart" Kettle when it's anything but. Seems like a very poor attempt. Product being returned ASAP as faulty as its not fit for purpose. Rant over

Just not as clever as you think. But OK.
Well it's is a bit of a story with this kettle. The first one I received didn't connect to WiFi, and the WiFi light never once came on. Luckily contacting Weekett by Facebook was easy enough, and they sent out another no questions asked. This second kettle never showed up thanks to the courier, so they sent out another, and some complimentary tea bags. Nice.Setting up made a bit more sense finally, but not really thanks to the manual, which is more confusing than it really ought to be. It only connects to 2.4ghz WiFi, and if like me you have a Virgin router set to combi 2.4 + 5ghz mode, it will refuse to see it in the Smart home app. If you know how to access your router software and turn this to 2.4 only, to connect, (and you can switch back to combi after) then you will be OK. But not something everyone will be comfortable with. The app is basic but allows you to set a timer to turn the kettle on at set days and times. Plus it tells the temperature. Amazon Alexa can be set up and simply allows you to ask to turn on or off.I found the build quality OK, the styling not so amazing but it grew on me. The price for features not too bad compared to larger brands. It's not the fastest kettle though. Being able to have some set temperatures was a must for me and you have buttons on the base for this, but more precision here would be nice. The keep warm works function, if only for temps below 90°c.This issue here is ask yourself, do you need WiFi features? You'll have to keep it topped up with a healthy amount of water should you wish to use it on command, and this is not exactly cost effective compared to boiling only what you need. I bought it as a novelty and soon realised that there's not a lot of benefit for me the way it has been designed to work.Weekett deserve credit for their customer service, and if you are a heavy kettle user (whatever that means), it is functional at the least.

Edited review: Seller thinks recieved faulty item
Changed my 1star to 3star as the seller has contacted saying they believe the item I received could have been faultyThe kettle wouldnt connect to the wifi even after trying for an hour with the correct wifi connection options and perfect signal, so I returned for a full refund. The kettle still looked rather cheap compared to my current kettle and I would prefer if more colour options were available like black. But as the seller has messaged saying it could have been a fault, I may purchase one in the future to see if its better next time.
