Very Pleased -- Great Product
Just to be clear, this is a dual-purpose monopod/camera extension pole (or selfie-stick), which is precisely the reason I purchased it. I sometimes need a monopod to steady my GoPro/iPhone/compact camera -- and other times need an extendable hand-held camera pole. Since this has standard 1/4-20 camera attachment screws at both ends, as well as GoPro and ball-joint attachments, it's like a universal camera attachment device. And it's only about 16 inches collapsed so that it fits nicely into a standard backpack. It's very lightweight yet extremely sturdy and well built (wouldn't expect less of Manfrotto). It also has a hand lanyard, which I think is a bit small for my hands, but nevertheless very useful. The extension joint connectors are solid, easy to open and close, and lock firmly. The large textured rubber handle feels good and is very comfortable. The body is constructed of very solid aluminum or alloy and seems that it could easily survive a lifetime of heavy use -- and abuse. In summary, I'm very happy with this product and would recommend it to anyone. Even if you only need a selfie stick, this product is far superior to most of the cheaply made products out there, for only a little more money. For those with broader needs, it's a high-quality, durable monopod and camera stabilizer and reach extender.

Extremely Useful
This is very compact, lightweight, great quality (Manfrotto of course...), useful and handy. It is not super sturdy because it is compact and lightweight but it is not flimsy at all. I carry it with me all the time, extremely useful for video. I only wish it had something to attach a shoulder strap because I mainly use it when I travel lightweight. It is not so eye catching than traditional monopods. I recommend getting an adapter for the 1/4 screw to 3/8 screw to use other tripod heads so you can get the most out of it. Great accesorie you can't go wrong with this one.

Great monopod, but there might be better options if you are specifically looking for a selfie stick.
I had a one time need of a monopod, so I picked this one up. Basically had to chant to myself "this is not a selfie stick, this is not a selfie stick," just to keep my self loathing at bay. I picked it because the descriptions, reviews and recommendations seemed to make it the choice, and they were spot on. The thing collapses extremely small (rode in my carry-on all through the EU), it's tough as nails (my drunk brother in law used it for days without breaking it, I can't say that of lesser phones, glasses, and clothing), and the materials feel comfortable in the hand. I literally have no complaints for my personal use. If you do happen to be using it for a selfie stick, there are no embedded electronics, so there may be better options out there, but if you are using it for a monopod, I give my unqualified recommendation.

Solid build, quality, light and sturdy. A bit too short for me
I was looking for a lightweight monopod that had lever locks for the sections. I bought this thinking it might work for me because of the vendor’s reputation for quality. The monopod met those criteria - light, sturdy enough, good quality and extended legs that lock in place with levers instead of screw devices. Only one gripe is that I didn’t take the height into consideration. The height is a little short so it hasn’t replaced my twenty year old model.Otherwise, it’s a decent unit if you aren’t as tall as I am ... 6 ft.

Photos and video are easily with this amazing stick
I’m a car enthusiast and have been using GoPros for years and got this stick when I got my first 360 camera. I needed a stick that I could use to get normal shots from the car, as well as elevated views. Because I video and take photos while the car is moving, I needed a stick that would be stable while moving, even when telescoped. I also needed a stick that could be mounted or take a camera at either end. Manfrotto has an excellent reputation for quality and this stick is no exception. It is also slim enough at its thickest point to disappear when using with a 360 camera. I bought it in April for a cross country drive, and I used it all the time on the trip, including stops on Route 66, a run on the Tail of the Dragon, and drive on the Charlotte Motor Speedway, as well as at local car shows and parades. One of the best purchases I’ve ever made for my photography tool box.

The best selfie stick for an amateur or professional hands down.
I needed a solid selfie stick for photos and videos with my GOPRO MAX. If your familiar with MAX you want a long extension pole for those perfect 360 shots. Well, this pole doesn’t disappoint. I think the best part of this pole is the versatility. You have to ability to attach your GoPro adapter to one in when ended and on the other end you have the threaded screw adapter for digital cameras. The pole when fully extended I would say is roughly 4 feet long. It is a little bit on the heavy side, but it is very sturdy and well-made.I can easily place the pole in my backpack. I am looking forward to using it on vacation once the COVID-19 conditions are better. You honestly can’t go wrong with a selfie stick.

DECENT WITH A SERIOUS DESIGN FLAW
Good lightweight monopod. I got it to use with my Fuji X-e3 on walks around the city and the woods. Has a nice feel in the hand and quick-action on the latches for easy and fast extension. I like to use it to carry the camera with no shoulder strap...however you WILL lost the little rubber foot. It screws on and even though I was constantly tightening it because of the warnings I lost it anyway. I get it, camera equipment breaks and pieces fall off, but this is particularly annoying because Manfrotto doesn't offer a replacement accessory and the 1/4" screw is male so it is not immediately compatible with standard replacements. I just ordered a barrel connector and a new foot, so it's costing me $20 and my tripod is going to be an extra 1.5" long and jerry-rigged up. Maybe it will be ok because the monopod could use a couple of extra inched anyway, but it costs almost half as much as the tripod so I kind of wish I had gotten a more $ one to being with - now I'm throwing good money after bad.
