So I read many of the reviews before ordering and decided to take a chance. Bottom line is that it performs its intended purpose. Looking at it, I wondered (as did others) why the heck did the manufacturer put a big logo at the bottom of the cloak? Of all places!! The bottom of the cloak is the most likely place to become exposed as you reach for something or sit down. I even read a review where the purchaser turned the entire cloak inside-out to eliminate this logo issue. However, if you read the instructions, you roll up the tail of your collection bag and then fold over the pocket on bottom of the cloak to support the tail. When you do this, the logo disappears and all you see is a cloth cloak. There are also mentions that it would be nice if the hole had some sort of elastic or tie system to hold the cloak in place. I agree but having used this device, mine hasn’t budged. Finally, I agree the cloak is a little pricey but it’s more than just a cloth bag. The material has some sort of odor barrier built in. I suspect that it is some sort of charcoal filtration process woven into the material. That barrier can be rejuvenated by placing in the dryer for about a half hour. It does appear that the odor fighting barrier is only good for about 20 washings. Then I guess it’s just a cloth bag. Personally, being new to the Osty world, I feel more confident and comfortable wearing the Stoma Cloak.

I bought that $70 one from Spain, which I like a lot but this one really isn't that far off. So while it's expensive, it's half the price of that other one. It's soft material, and feels well made. I think the anti-odor thing actually makes a difference too, which I wasn't really expecting to be the case. A huge thing for me, that I didn't see in any of the pics, is that there is a small slit on each side for the plastic things that the belt clips on to push through. So it works with a belt, and the belt will keep the bag from falling as well. I'll probably be buying one more.

One size doesn’t fit all but I thought it worked well. The patient….not so much! However, the design is perfect and I thought it well deserves to be tried! I wished it came in a slippery fabric that would work better under the chemo shirt or any T-shirt

I like the fact that it's so easy to use, and truly helps keep your ostomy a little more private and hidden from sight. Be sure the sizing is correct. I mismeasured, and had to exchange the first one, but no problems doing so. The material is soft, absorbs sweat that can come from having the plastic bag on your leg, and helps decrease odor. Both my ostomy nurse and surgeon were surprised and impressed with it, and were going tell other patients about it!

If you follow the manufacturer’s instructions on how determine the proper size it’ll end up being too big for the flange opening. Should have trusted my instinct and ordered one size smaller. In this case a 2.25 instead of the 2.75inch. Also a couple slots at 3 and 9 o’clock to thread a ostomy belt would aid in securing the Cloak against the body should it be a little floppy. It is well made though.

While this product is wonderful for comfort while wearing a urostomy bag, Stomacloak is now charging almost double for what I paid for two of these in July 2022. I paid $34.95 for each Stomacloak, but now they are being greedy and ripping off people like me who have had their bladders removed by charging $54.95 for the same product. Shame on you for your greed Stomacloak!

I like the peace of mind that this has odor control built in, and if I am in a store and my shirt rises over it when I reach to a top shelf, I don't have to worry that a plain, clear ostomy bag is exposed. I did make one modification. I added a piece of velcro to the top, so it will stay in place and not fall off when wearing it with a hernia belt. The extra thickness of the hernia belt causes this to not have enough of a purchase to the appliance ring to always stay on. Now it does. Pics of modification included.

A great product! I was skeptical at first, thought it was a scam for those desperate for something, anything. Boy, was I wrong. This is a well-made, high-quality product that is easy to install, easy to remove and easy to clean in the regular laundry. So far mine has proven to be color fast with no fading. A real confidence booster.
