Review "The stakes are predictably high, the violence unsurprisingly gory and the zombies twitchy, agile and fast." --The New York Times"Yeon throws open the doors of his cinematic universe into a new dystopian landscape in which the endless sea of faceless zombies, with their terrifying speed, hunger for flesh and heightened sense, aren't really the ones to be afraid of." --LA Times"Michael Bay has nothing on the folks who made PENINSULA." --Canada's National Observer

Man… so far the Train to Busan films really know how to make awesome endings….
I almost wrote this movie as the little brother of Train to Busan… and it is, but man did it really come into being it’s own thing. Great zombie movie. It’s like Death Race meets Army of the Dead. It’s more small time and not as cinematic as the first one, but it earned its watchability with the characters. It had my favorite ending to a zombie film ever honestly. I cried in the first films ending and this one ALMOST had me crying as well… or may as well say made me cry since my eyes were watering. I truly hope they make another Train to Busan movie and keep with them being amazing solo films like this one and the one before. Long story short even tho you’ve already read, BUY THIS MOVIE. It may drag sometimes, but the character building and plot are worth it. The ending really sold me on the movie too.

Awesome in 4K
The 4K version is spectacular: detailed, deep, and vibrant. It's a worthy sequel to the stunning "Train to Busan." The story shows a very chilling and dynamic penetration back into the zombie-flooded Korean Peninsula. The motivation is dark and mundane, but realistic on a gut level. As zombie movies go, this is one of the best. The script doesn't provide a rehash of Train but wisely bumps it up to a higher level while retaining the best features of the original movie. Viewed projected in 4K onto a 120" screen with full surround sound it's as good or better than viewing it in a movie theater. Listening to it in Korean with English subtitles (easy to follow), it has an air of brutal reality and chilling, high adventure. There's no overt "hook" for a third movie, but there should be! Obviously the zombie virus that produces such dynamic and dangerous zombies can't stay contained on the Korean peninsular. Let's see "Train to Planet Earth!" with the "bump" of the already unique zombies EVOLVING, a Queen zombie endowing intelligence needing to be eliminated in the home country. Just a suggestion, surprise me! I want more!!!

Zombies don't need gold or money
Four years after the zombie outbreak in Korea, a group of four survivors living in Hong Kong agree to go back and slip in at night time and recover a truck filled with money. They will drive the truck to Icheon Port where a boat will be waiting for them. What they discover is there are survivors in the peninsula and they all want off. There is a militia group that goes on raids and the film ends up as Fast and Furious with zombies. I enjoyed it even if no one else did and even got misty eyed at the ending.Guide: No swearing, sex, or nudity.

Night of the Living Dead meets It's a Mad Mad Mad Mad World
It's 4 years later. South Korea is isolated from the rest of the world, completely overrun by the undead. The surrounding nations are hard pressed to cope with the influx of all those who managed to escape the horror. A Hong Kong criminal gang, seeking to recover a truckload of hundreds of thousands in US $1 bills [!?], sends a team of refugees into the port of Inchon to recover it. The team very much resembles the contestants of a TV game show. They are to share half of the cash that they recover. The fewer that survive, the larger the individual shares. Amid the hordes of ravening zombies, they discover 2 pockets of survivors. The survivors have adapted various motor vehicles, which they use to forage in the ruins of the city. This sets the stage for hair raising impossible car chases. Will the team succeed in it's mission? Will any of the survivors escape? You will have to watch this tale of greed, hate, revenge, selfishness, and self sacrifice in order to find out.BTW, there's no train.

Review of Train to Busan Peninsula
A continuation of a good story.

Somewhat disappointed
Sound and picture quality were as expected. However, movie plot was a far cry from Train to Busan. Hope that a proper sequel would be made, taking off from the 2 survivors - daughter and pregnant lady.

A surprisingly excellent sequel
I loved Train to Busan. The sequel, Train to Busan Peninsula is a worthwhile experience. It has just as much emotionally charged moments as the first movie. The acting is solid, and the bonus features are decent.
