HOT CLIMATE MUST PLEASE READ
If you live in a hot climate, get this. 40% works great for my very windy and hot central TX garden. Without this stuff, my garden would absolutely bake. My yard is full sun, and with this up over my raised beds from April-September, all of my plants flourish and the soil doesn't dry out nearly as much. You may have to get a little tacky with it and use clothes pins in random places, but that's just the price of having a great garden in a southern climate. I'm seeing a lot of people leaving bad reviews before even using the product because of the material. Yes, it's kind of like garbage bag material. However, this stuff can withstand extreme Texas wind just fine. You can also adjust it as needed. Don't knock this until you actually try it. It's the key to garden success in high temps.

Absolutely Perfect
As our average temperatures climb here in Utah and I find that I need to shade my garden. I purchased this cloth for two reasons. One was that our local extension service recommends 30 to 40% shade cloth for vegetables. The second reason was that it was in a long length that I could trim. I definitely didn’t want some thing that had the edges finished, but I still didn’t want something that unraveled. I also like that this came with clips. It turned out the clips were perfect for the support I chose which was 3/8 inch rebar. I chose the rebar because I could bend it and attach it to my raised beds. The clips fit perfectly. I like that I can adjust the shade cloth. If I needed to open it it would be super easy. I also like that it won’t hold in the heat and that water can easily run through it. There’s nothing I don’t like about this product.

Gives proper shading for our garden.
The fabric is holding up well in these Arizona winds. Bought to shade our vegetable plants from Arizona sun. Our plants (tomato, squash, peppers and cucumbers) were struggling before we installed the sun shade. They are all looking much better. We used zip ties to attach the netting to poles we spaced around the garden bed. The butterfly clips were not working for us.

Relatively easy to install.
Here in Kansas the wind destroys things in our garden. This shade fabric is not one of them. Where and how we had it secured would pull loose, but the fabric was not harmed. Very impressive. Where the fabric was installed the veggies did better. Where not, the veggies burned up. Thank you global warming. Will buy more for next year.

Awesome sunshade
I bought this sunshade fabric for my garden and it’s worked very well. It provides the shade necessary for my young trees and it lets the breezes through

Solved my wilting lettuce
Perfect solution for my container lettuce plants on my overly sunny deck. I was able to cut the fabric and lay it over the plants but it came with clips that could be used with stakes if desired.

Forget the clips that come with this. But it does the job.
The plastic clips are totally useless. I ended up using clothespins. Will likely need some zip-ties if it gets windy. But the fabric (all plastic) lets the air through and blocks just enough sun on our 90+ degree days. Note the fabric "weave" is too tight to allow pollinators through. So I only use it on the western side of my tomato bed.
