Digital Hygrometer and Thermometer, Briidea Humidity Temperature Monitor Guitar Ukulele Mason Jar

I purchased this hygrometer to monitor the humidity level in my guitar case. This meter comes with the needed battery (CR2032) and a printed instruction sheet. There's not much to it. You just install the battery, switch it on, and it will display current temperature and humidity percentage. The numbers are large and easy to read. The meter is small and compact, so it fits in my guitar case right next to the neck of my guitar resting on the case's neck rest. I don't have a way to verify its accuracy, so I have to take it on faith that it's reasonably accurate.My only complaint with this product is poor quality control. The first one I received did not have the needed battery caddy to install the battery in the meter. Amazon quickly replaced it with a new one, though, that seems to work fine. Also, the manual makes no mention of what battery to use. The battery needed is a CR2032 coin battery. The meter does come with one, so there is nothing else to purchase to use it right out of the box.Overall, this is an inexpensive way to monitor humidity level. I am using it for a guitar, but it's clear from the manual that it was designed for a cigar humidor. So, if you own either of these things, this hygrometer is useful to have.

It works. Keeps the moisture level in my humidor in an eye shot so I know if any adjustments are needed. I love the fact it indicates if my humidor is either too wet or too dry. When there is balance, it reads "OK".

Amazon is sending a replacement. I don't have a lot of confidence in this item, although Amazon's always been great. I'll update after I receive the replacement.UPDATE -- The replacement works, and it's more or less accurate. Not an expensive item, so it appears to be within plus or minus 2%. Good enough for my purposes, otherwise I would've bought something more pricey, Upgrading my rating to four stars.

Used in combo with Boveda 69%RH packs & Xikar Travel humidor. It's within 2+/- on RH and 2+/- on temp. Easy set up and read. Being calibrated on arrival made it easy too.

No matter how I adjust it it seems to read around 2% low which isn't a huge deal given the price. Close enough for my cigars which are comfortable between 68% to 72%.

I bought this and the first thing I did was to test calibration. I put it in a ziplock with salt water paste and it read 63% after 24 hours. I adjusted it but the adjustment only allows 9%. It should be 75% in the ziplock.

Terrific product. Works just as described. I use it for my travel cigar humidor. It is very accurate and easy to read. May buy more for various other uses. Highly recommend.

Put the battery in, turned it on, placed in the humidor and shut the lid. That’s all there was to it. Inside a half-hour, the unit was reading 70&70. Love that it comes from the factory already calibrated!
