Hard to put poles in the balls
I wanted to like this product so much more but it's more of a nuisance than fun. The holes on the balls are little tight for the poles and it takes more 'elbow grease' than I want to do, and it also makes it hard for my kids to build things because they don't have the strength so they lose interest. Playtime with these looks like them running around with sticks and sticks and balls all over and me building something by myself. My kids are a little young so hopefully they'll enjoy it more as they get older but right now, not a fan.

Don’t waste your time and money. This is a huge box of junk. False advertising
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. So in the pictures of this item it shows that there is an x that is supposed to help this be “sturdy” this was the deciding factor in me buying this. This is not what we received. This is the biggest piece of junk. The poles are so wobbly and unsturdy. They hardly hold up with you pick them up from the box. Then the sticks hardly fit into the small connector balls. There’s no way that children would be able to put this together. It comes with a very small sheet. That would barley cover a baby doll. This is the worst waste of money and I wouldn’t recommend this to a enemy. I was so excited to give this to my son who loves building tents and castles. And now is crying because I refuse to keep this.

Do not waste your money or time!
I would love to add photos to this review but unfortunately it doesn’t stay standing long enough. The moment one of my kids who are 2.5 and 1 start to climb in it, it falls over. Now yes you may say well they are young and clumsy etc. but my kids have been walking since they were 9 months old and aren’t wild. My 6 year old niece even tried to get in it started falling and she was apologizing as if she did something wrong. We have followed the suggested designs in the included pamphlet, we have modified these versions, we have created our own. Doesn’t make any difference. The poles don’t stay secure into the balls, the poles are not sturdy at all we have already thrown out 3 of them from breaking or bending into an L shape. Don’t even attempt to put anything over the constructed fort other than the included super lightweight tarp. If you use a sheet, the whole thing just falls right over. I am going to contact Amazon to get the money refunded because these things have brought more problems and chaos than fun.The easiness to assemble gets 3 stars because even though it seems straight forward, there is a pattern on the balls and if you have the pole in one hole and need to do a diagonal you may have to take apart what you did in a section to turn the ball to the appropriate spot to allow for that desired angle.Sturdiness should be 0 stars but that’s not exactly an option, thickness would also be 0 because the poles are just garbage.Very displeased and sad that something we looked forward to with our kids turned into a nightmare.

Quality is questionable, but kids love it
This is an incentivized review. The fort kit arrived well packaged, and comes with a good number of plastic pipes, joints, and a tarp to cover your constructions and make a fort. The pipes fit tightly into holes in the joints; for the most part, it is tight enough to hold it together with decent strength, but it sometimes is too tight for my 5 year old to assemble himself; when he does, the pipes are often only partly into the holes and it subsequently falls apart. The holes in the joints seem like they don't necessarily line up in the directions one might expect, so the angles in the final construction are sometimes somewhat off. The pipes are reasonably tough for a kids toy, I am not worried about them bending or breaking. Ultimately, I would say that the quality of construction makes it not worth forty dollars, but so far my kids have really enjoyed it in spite of its shortcomings, which is worth of a three star review.

Just ok
Any instructions at indicates that if the polls do not fit in the holes that you can add paper. I believe for the price that the whole should be checked and quality control could be better. Many of the shapes are hard to create because the balls do not have the holes in the right positions. My 6 and 8 year old could not construct the igloo by themselves.

Great for creativity!
I purchased this for our five year old grandson. He really loves it! He had some issues with inserting the sticks into the holes in the connector balls. The holes seemed to be a little small. His dad helped him and they built three or four versions. There is a sheet with building plan suggestions. They used some light weight throws for the roof. The plastic cover that comes with it is too small unless you build a small fort. In the end, it was a good purchase and he enjoys being creative with the building plans!

Fair value for the money
Let me start by saying this is a good toy for the price. You have to understand that the size of a fort that you can build with these is quite small (as is shown in the pictures with toddlers playing near it). So if you want to build a fort for bigger kids, you may want to buy more than one of these in order to have enough pieces. I managed to bend several rods because I pushed too hard to get them into the holes in the balls. You should hold the rods close to the end and turn the ball as you insert, for best results. If you're creative enough, you can build fairly sturdy structures. This comes with a tarp that you can use to cover it. The kids love that part.

Versatile!
I was surprised by how many connectors and bars come with this kit! I was able to make so many different forts for my kids. We also had enough to make more than one fort at one time. The holes in the connectors were very clutch as the bars connect at different angles. The bars are somewhat flimsy and can bend easy, but overall it worked really well. My three kids, ages 1, 3, and 5, were able to play with the fort for hours and we only had one bar casualty. Not bad and not a concern as there are so many bars in this kit. I would definitely purchase again.
