Halo: The Flood by Dietz, William C. New Edition (2005)

When shopping for this book, the cover art displayed by Amazon is not what I received. I wanted the original cover art for this book to complete my collection of the Halo trilogy, as I already have original copies of The Fall of Reach and First Strike. The copy I received was not only the different cover art, but was a completely different format than what I ordered. The original copies are considered Mass Market Paperback, and are a little over 6 inches tall. The version I got, despite ordering MMP, was paperback but it was about 8 or so inches tall as well.If you are ordering books with particular formats or covers, you must contact each individual seller first to confirm they are selling the version you are asking for.The book itself is solid, one of the weaker entries in the Halo series due to following the events of Halo Combat Evolved so closely. It adds more depth to the story, but not exactly enough to warrant a full book. If you have already read the book, however, and own a moderately-powerful gaming PC, you should check out Halo SPV3. It is a rework of Halo Custom Edition, and it adds elements from the book such as the Battle for Alpha Base on Installation 04.

This is a classic book from my childhood, and I was very sad to see my copy fall apart, but this copy arrived in great shape, looks almost brand new, and looks great on the bookshelf.If you have not read this book, I would give it a read, lots of characters, tense moments let up with bits of comedy, and above all, this book handles horror very well.

Was not one of my favorite Halo books but definitely a good read gives more detail about the events of Halo 1. The book came in good condition almost looks new

the book itself is in good shape and this is of course a great read, but i was looking for the big one and this is the small book. the only difference is the size but i have the other 2 definitive versions but they are the large ones.
