Royal Robbins shirts have beautiful colors. Like most new clothes these days, however, the quality is terrible, especially given the relatively high price. I bought several of these shirts and they have begun to "come undone" within two months and after only a few washings. The threading is weak, shirts poorly sewn, and when there's been some kind of lining, it's already coming out. Would not buy again. Ironically, the relatively cheap, no-name dress shirts I bought five years ago are still going strong. No, you don't always get what you pay for, and a higher price does not mean higher quality. Don't fall for the nice colors.

I have a love/hate relationship with these shirts. I travel quite a bit for work and also for pleasure. I have 5 of these shirts. They used to be a mainstay in my travel bag but not as much anymore.On the upside: They are lightweight, comfortable, stylish, easy to clean and quick to dry.On the downside: There is a definite chronic problem with the durability of the material. After half a dozen uses or so, the bottom hem begins to fray. And once it starts to fray, unlesss repaired quickly it starts to come apart from the bottom up. The shirt has to be resewn to reinforce and protect the fabric at the bottom hem. For the price of the shirt, they should use a better quality material or design. I know it is not just me since there are several customer reviews complaining about the same problem.

I have loved these Royal Robbins shirts for years. They are great fabric, straight hem wears well untucked, dry fast, good in hot city summers. BUT this year, a few that I purchased are now too small in funny places (e.g. under the arms, around the lats) while they are listed as Medium, still. In the past, Medium was a comfortably loose fit for me, but not baggy. Just right. I don't know if it's deliberate redesign or problems in manufacturing but my wife said "that looks small on you" and when I lift my arms up it pulls tight against me under the arms. Not good. I'm worried not about buying more. I did get one that fit the old way but it may have been old inventory. Be warned.

An extremely comfortable shirt that looks and drapes well. Unfortunately, poor quality of construction limits the life of the garment. After three seasons of occasional wear and gentle laundering, my Royal Robbins Desert Pucker camp shirt has frayed, separated at the shoulder seams, and is generally falling apart. I may buy another, but the most popular colors rarely seem to be available. Pity - - this is otherwise a very nice shirt.

Very nice, very comfortable shirts. Great for those hot days when you don't want a shirt that clings to your body. Loved them enough to buy 3 more in diff. colors. Just be careful of who the seller is. I ordered a couple from a non-amazon seller with very low price - never delivered.

Beautiful business casual shirt.Super comfortable, smart-looking shirt. Desert pucker dry cloth is perfect for hot, humid summers. This is also a shirt that, indoors, will help you cope with those annoying people who constantly try to raise the thermostat to 89 on the a/c. I love it.

Extremely comfortable fabric. Wicks moisture away from skin well. Stretches when you move. Good looking shirt too.Unfortunately it frayed across the bottom hem of the shirt after three washings. So, stars removed for lack of durability.

I am very mixed about this shirt. The good is that it feels very good, looks good, and it launders well.The bad, however, is a big deal: It does not seem to breath at all well, and it makes me sweat! Worse, the lighter colored one (I bought two different colors) shows every drop of water or sweat as a much darker color...so walking around, and sweating (because of the shirt!), I look like I am soaked in sweat. I have had great shorts from Royal Robbins, but am quite disappointed in this as a warm weather travel shirt.

I purchased 3 RR Desert Pucker shirts for my husband for warm weather travel. The colours are all so lush and rich. And the fabric is so soft. Can report back later about how they work in a hot climate.
