Well worth the money. Only negative is that the print is small .

Spurgeon shares such good and godly wisdom. Definitely a must read.

C.H. Spurgeon is a master of the Word of God. His expositions on even the shortest scriptures are truly inspiring. Leave this book by your bedside to read last thing at night and first thing in the morning. You will be inspired as you drift off to sleep and as you start your day. His ability to find Christ in every scripture is mind blowing. I would truly love to have his skill with Holy Scripture. Highly recommend!

I have had this excelled daily devotional from Charles Spurgeon for a few years and have really appreciated it. Alistair Begg has provided some really helpful updates in language without changing the depth and penetrating writing of Spurgeon. Both the morning and the evening devotionals are very accessible and can each be read in just a few minutes time. Each day of the year is listed on the top of the page with the morning devotional on the top and the evening devotional on the bottom. It even includes February 29 for leap year. Each devotional are approximately half a page in length. I cannot recommend this daily devotional enough for your personal use, for a husband and wife, or for family worship.

I love the powerful use of God's word to help believers both in the morning and evening readings. I must take away one star for the puzzling tiny print used. I'm a person with somewhat poor vision due to diabetes but even with reading glasses, it's difficult to read without having to be consecrating on each word and sentence, etc. It's a shame because there is so much spiritual help in the text to rejoice about but at the same time so much unnecessary trouble to read it. Why? I keep asking myself why would this be done. Who came up with the idea to make this font so small that it would be such a distraction to such a beautiful work done by the prince of preachers Charles Spurgeon? I still have time to get a refund but it's worth the annoying tiny texts to receive the blessings of God's word so wonderfully opened each morning and evening. When sharing the devotions with others it may look a little unusual to see me using a microscope to get through the devotions. (lol) So this book deserves to be rated as high as possible for content but the font size has to lower the overall rating to 4 stars. And if you have poor reading ability even with reading glasses don't waste your money because you will be disappointed in how much difficulty you'll have with the tiny print. I'm glad I got the book but sure wish it had a normal print size. I thought the print size was addressed but it was not. God bless.

Such a blessing to read day after day

I’ve been following the morning and evening daily devotionals on Crossway lately and liked what I was reading and decided to order this book. I’m so excited to have a copy of my own.

This classic daily devotional is vintage material from "Prince of Preachers" Charles Spurgeon. Go for it !

Thank you brother Begg for your faithful work in editing this great legacy. All coming generations will profit from it as I am.

ずっと使うものだから良いものをとペーパーバックではなく大きめのハードカバーにしました。 届いて、本の外観の作りの日本の本なみの丁寧さ(中の紙質、印刷も洋書としては最高レベル)に感心して、中を見て…ア然…字がビックリするほど小さい! こういう大判ハードカバーの常識的フォントサイズの半分くらい…この大きさの聖書の下段の注釈くらいの大きさ。私は教会に持って行くために買ったのに、これでは薄暗い聖堂では読めません。解説の英文も、もっと簡潔な方が良かったかも、ジェイムズ王版聖書に準拠した古いやつが却って読みやすいかも知れないですね。最近の聖書は表現が回りくどい、まどろっこしい、余計な説明が多くて時々ウンザリさせられますしね。
