White Flecks on My Minis
Maybe it's my fault for testing this product out on the mini I was most proud of, but I'm very disappointed to report that this product has sprayed my mini with a bunch of little white flecks. I won't call the mini ruined, but I've never been prouder of anything I've painted so I'm disappointed that it's no longer "perfect." That mini was in fact the very reason I ordered this product - I was so pleased with it that I didn't want to worry about the paint rubbing off during games, whereas I've never bothered with varnish or lacquer before.Maybe I didn't shake it enough, or maybe it's because it was the very first spray. It hasn't done the same to the other two minis I tried out, so I'll update this in the future as I try it out more.

Perfect for sealing doll faceups
I've used this to seal several custom doll faceups. It makes sealing in my work much easier than any brush-on lacquer, and is far more easily accessible and affordable than the MSC that a lot of other artists seem to use, without any noticeable difference in quality. I've sealed in full face freckles before adding makeup so that I could wipe away any mistakes without damaging the freckles, with great success every time. It really does the job well! This does mean that you need to be absolutely sure before sealing that you're happy with your paint job though, because once it's on it'll take serious elbow grease to remove! The finish is a beautiful matte that is a perfect imitation of natural skin texture. My dolls look so beautiful and lifelike once they've been painted and sealed with Dullcote. They've been photographed many times in various lighting, and I'm very happy with the results. No glare on the skin, even with a flash. No uneven or shiny spots. Just a gorgeous, smooth matte look.Just be sure to follow the directions and spray far enough away from the surface you are coating. Spraying too close can cause tiny bubbles to appear, and the layer of Dullcote will peel off around them after they've dried. Do a few practice runs if you're worried to make sure you have the hang of it.

Do Not Use Indoors!
Oooh wow, do not make the same mistake I did and spray in the garage with the door open, just spray outside. Across the street from your house if able. Maybe go to a park on a windy day. The odor is extremely strong and had me coughing on the second spritz and after spraying around twenty items, my entire house smelled like this product. Other than that I liked it. It took away the metallic sheen on gold/silver/brass paint but that was my fault in not fully reading the label. Went on evenly and didn't cloud or melt away anything despite what the smell suggests. As an excellent side note, I'd painted some plastic miniatures with enamel paint that were sticky to the touch. A pass over with this and they were no longer sticky.

A life saver!!!
I have a custom painted model that I had packed away for 9 years. I wrapped it so carefully so that it would not get damaged. But when I unpacked it recently the cloth that I had wrapped it in had stuck to the finish! I thought my model had been ruined! A friend suggested using Testors Dullcote to try and fix the finish. So I gave it a try. After applying 3-4 coats, the finish was completely smooth again! There is no evidence that the finish had been damaged and textured by the cloth that it was wrapped in. None of the paint had been removed so this was a great fix for me. I sprayed the entire model with this Dullcote so it would match and now it looks just great. Saved me from having to re-paint the model! Very happy.

Cheaper but still useful alternative spray for OOAK doll repainting.
I got this spray as a cheaper alternative to using Mr. Super Clear. I had seen some other reviews online that looked promising for this and just wanted to give it a try. I got this as an add on to a larger order, so the free shipping option with add on made this really reasonably priced. I like that this is a smaller can for smaller projects. I appreciate being able to try this out without committing to a huge can if it doesn't work out for me after a few tries. I purchased this to use as a base and matte fixing spray for repainting Monster High doll faces, so a small size is perfect for my purposes. As I expected, the smell is a little intense but I think that is the case for any spray lacquer. So far I'm really happy with my purchase. I can't speak to the durability of this spray as a fixative over time, but I'll come back and update my review if my experience with this changes or I notice any problems in the long run.
