Great laser, but watch pinouts
The laser arrived promptly and worked, but only after modifications made to the laser’s cable that connects to the CNC board of my 3018 Pro. The PWM on the motherboard of the CNC had a different pin out configuration from the laser’s. No problem. Just had to remove two of the three pins in the plug and swap them to they’d match the pinouts of the board. Once done, the laser fired up without issue, and I was able to engrave a stormtrooper logo for my son! :) Do watch the pinouts of the laser, cable, and that of your CNC’s board.

Adapted for use with Ender 3D printer
Bought this laser for use with my Ender 5 3D printer. Note: Ender users will likely need to compile a marlin firmware with g3/g4 arc support enabled if using Inkscape to generate gcode.1 - Printed a mount to simply slide the laser onto the print head.2 - Used a buck converter to convert the 24v fan signal to 12vPWM. Used a converter without capacitors.3 - used the 3 pin to 4 pin adapter for wiring. Red / black to 12v power supply and white(-)/yellow (+) to fan PWM with buck converter inline.I like power button on top toggles a blue non-cutting light for simulating cuts. To emit blue light, the laser power button led should be green. When pwm is turned on you’ll only get a blue light for test and lens calibration. Pressing the power button again will show a able LED and the laser will be in cutting mode.Have been very happy with 4w power. Most wood engraving is working well at 50% power and 500 mm/min laser speed.

So far so good.
Pretty stoked. Using with an old 3d printer and a grbl shield. Used 3 to 4 pin wires. Red+ black- and yellow to spindle speed+ and white to spindle speed-. M4 as a start code and in grbl confide have spindle speed set to 0 min and 255 max.
