This knife is great. Its sharp and long enough to do some ...
I used this while working as an armed guard. This knife is great. Its sharp and long enough to do some damage if needed. It fits well in between your duty belt. There are two straps with a button snap style of buckle. It should fit onto two inch belts. There are holes on the sheath to instal the metal TDI clip if you prefer that. For my purpose I found the straps worked fine. The shape of the knife itself works well for combatives. Whether you're holding it in a reverse grip or a regular grip it fits comfortably and its easy to retain.I wore it on the Velcro portion of my duty belt on a left side appendix carry then placed the main duty belt over top of it. This gave me access to it with both hands if needed for either firearm retention and an attack or a block an attack depending on the situation. It was out of the way and the grip was large enough to grab in a high stress situation. The only drawback I found was, if you ever put on weight or have a large stomach it may affect the way you carry it. I gained some weight while working that complex and the knife became unconformable to carry. All in all, if your physiology allows you to carry this knife I highly recommend it. It's out of the way when you don't need it and always available when you do. It's high quality and a must have if you work in a dangerous area.

A "pocket" knife? Yes!
This knife really surprised me. I have a large collection of expensive knives an was not expecting much out of this knife for the price. But it has found its was into my pocket and in my waistband (using the optional $10 clip). I carry it at work in the front right pocket of my slacks. Because of the curvature of the knife, it fits well in my pocket and dis easy to grab the handle (as opposed to a straight/linear knife which sits awkwardly in a pocket and is harder to grab the handle). I can even put my hand in my pocket and have my hand gripped on the handle, ready to draw when needed. For the price, I just bought the Ka-Bar large TDI for fun. But I have ended up carrying it constantly, using it to cook with and open boxes. This design just works! The knife clips into the sheath solidly and pops out with a push of the thumb. The only thing I would change on this knife is the thickness of the steel. It is about 3/16" thick at the spine, and I think that adds unnecessary weight. It makes for a VERY strong knife that could be used as a pry-bar, but I would rather have it from 1/8" blade stock to make it lighter weight since I want a sharp little pocket knife, not a pocket pry-bar.

An absolute bargain for the quality, only a couple petty gripes
Call me crazy but i felt the handle could be a little more ergonomic. Also the blade isn't super sharp but it's not exactly dull either. Sharpness is just a bonus, not a determining factor on it's overall quality. Even cheapo knives can be sharp. It's plenty sharp for the job it's made for. But if it's not sharp enough for you, get it sharpened. Sharpness is not a big deal.Minor gripes aside this thing is built like a tank. I've heard some people say the sheath isn't very tight but i have no idea what they're on about. The sheath is almost too tight.Overall this knife is of top quality. An incredible value for the money.

EDC, all day everyday.
First off it needs some love out of the box, while sharp it's not what I would consider sharp enough. Carried a full sized Kabar for a number of years, have one that survived the south pacific with my great uncle, those were scary sharp.A bit of stoning and now sharp enough to shave skin with, if your not careful. Ask me how I found out.The optional clip, should be included it makes packing this beasty blade worth it and so much more reasonable. Impressed a Sheriff buddy of mine with the clip set up so much me now considering it for his duty carry and he carries the smaller version.

Great knife!!
I do believe you could find better for the price. But none the less a Fantastic and perfect knife for it's purpose! This has become one of my newer EDC (Every day carry) knives. The size and angle provides a much more subtle and comfortable approach. I added the custom para cord to wear on my belt. Giving myself a much faster and safer knife draw than it's velcro belt attachment system.Again, this is a great knife! I switch between 3 knives total as EDC's. This is now one of those 3. I would recommend, however I don't believe this knife too be the strongest when it comes to durability. But hopefully you all should know that your EDC should be used for self defence. Not opening boxes and cutting random objects. Keep your knives sharp so when the time comes to protect yourself or those you love. You can do the job right!Stay safe out there peeps!

An excellent knife!
First and foremost, some say this is for LEO/not for civilians, but I'd disagree. I own the smaller version and this larger version. My take is, if you aren't stupid, then it could be a good knife for you. I practiced with this knife, and I'm confident I can use it well if needed. What some fail to realize is as long as you know enough about this blade to not injure yourself, the only person who could accurately defend against this knife is someone with training. The blade is incredibly sharp and is incredibly sturdy. The blade is the full tang and is well designed ergonomically. To note, you can equip this knife with the TDI belt clip to use it on thinner belts. Can be had from Amazon for 12$But I will say this knife does take a bit of force to release from the sheath so even with the TDI clip, it will pull up on your belt significantly far; even with a thicker webbed belt.https://www.amazon.com/Ka-Bar-Metal-Belt-Clip-Knives/dp/B00180D1ES/ref=pd_sim_1?pd_rd_w=BwkNy&pf_rd_p=dde9b612-c71c-4550-8f12-758d90eade9e&pf_rd_r=1RZ6CJBWPTZ0916S0XY8&pd_rd_r=763b923b-4076-4516-9286-d383a9d55e91&pd_rd_wg=BbTkz&pd_rd_i=B00180D1ES&psc=1.
