good but pretty predictable
I enjoyed this book. The story line was pretty obvious but still a good read. I’d recommend it to anyone who enjoys a mild rock band story.

Great book. Good storyline and likeable characters. I really likednot knowing exactly what happened until towards the end. Want to read the whole series. I would highly recommend this book.

Awesome!!
Samantha Christy is quickly becoming one of my favorite authors. She gives you a story full of love, trials, tragedy/heartbreak, and heat! Along with strong characters that you fall in love with!! Can't wait to read the next one!

Whoa - very powerful theme and plotline...
Samantha Christy has gotten so much better as a writer. She always could emote through her characters, however, Crew, Liam, Garrett and Brad had me in equal turns hysterical with laughter and breaking down in tears. Bria wasn't so convincing, in my opinion. She didn't even try to understand that Crew was obviously struggling for a reason. Especially since her older brother was super protective, she ought to have recognized the signs of someone concerned about her well-being rather than simply trying to control her.So, this was a book with a strong, riveting and extremely tragic story and message. The flashbacks to Crew's past between his and Bria's present was perfect in building the suspense and anxiety of why Crew was the way he was. This book is a marvel in formatting and stretching out the mystery of Crew's past tragedy. I couldn't flip pages quickly enough to catch every nuance. I do with I had read this sooner - I did purchase awhile ago but never read it because I read Garrett and Reece's story first (which I didn't like as much). Of course, I stopped when I read the blurbs for the other books - they didn't interest me at the time.Five stars - the book is fabulous and entertaining, but make sure you've got a box of Kleenex for the uber feels!

Crew and Bria
Death had a way of changing our lives. When Christopher lost baby and Abby at such a young age he became lost in the trauma of it. Seven years! Good friends, music and a new start make a good book.

Another Awesome Read with ALL the FEELS
Reckless Obsession is The first book in the Reckless Rockstar Series by Samantha Christy and it is a knockout. She, as always, has the most well developed characters and story-lines. I can't wait for the rest of the series.Ms. Christy is a master of including characters from previous books into her stories. Several Firefighters from the Men on Fire Series, ball players from the Perfect Game Series as well as Mallory from the Mitchell Sisters and Chad from the Stone Brothers all either make an appearance or are mentioned in seemlessly in the story. The main character Bria is the little sister of Firefighter Brett Cash, from the book Engulfing Emma in the Men on Fire Series. She is a great singer who is not appreciated as a backup singer by a well known group that takes a chance on an unknown band, becoming one of the lead singers, helping to the band make it onto the radio. The other lead singer in the group Reckless Alibi, known as Crew, was not happy at first having her join the group. He was basically pushed into it by the rest of the band. He did not want her in the band because of his past history. Once they two start singing together, greatness happens and can not be denied. Crew's past is a major obstacle almost throughout the story. Once his whole past story is revealed, you will almost go thru an entire box of Kleenex. I don't think I have cried so much. You do not need to have read any of Ms. Christy's previous books to enjoy this book or any of her other books but they are like Potato Chips; You can't stop at just one. If you are new, I recommend you start with the Mitchell Sisters, followed by the Stone Brothers, the Perfect Game, and then Men on Fire. You will not regret it.One of my greatest days in the past few years was meeting Samantha Christ in person. My biggest regret was not getting a picture with her. I am one of her greatest fans and recommend her every chance I get. You can not go wrong with any of her books.

Raving about Reckless Rockstars!
I wasn’t truly sure what to expect when I downloaded a sample of this book. I’ve read my fair share of rockstar romances and sometimes they can become predictable at some points, BUT not this one! This book was a breath of fresh air as far as rockstar romances go. It is extremely well written and intertwined with Chris’s flashbacks in such an elegant way. I highly recommend this book because you will fall in love with these characters and this story! There were a lot of things I liked about this book. First of all the characters were so relatable and likable. Immediately from the beginning you realize Bria is a strong woman and the way she stands up for herself is admirable. She knows what she wants and she knows what she stands for. It’s lovely to see a strong character who stands up for herself and others. Throughout the book you continue to not only see her strength, but also see her grow as a character. Speaking of growth... can we talk about Chris??? It’s evident when you meet him that he’s been through some trauma and to see his process of working through it is amazing. His struggles tend to affect his relationship with Bria and it’s pretty refreshing to see the process of someone learning to work through grief and learn to let go. Furthermore, it’s really great to see how much support Chris has as he begins to get his life on track. I think it’s also pretty cool to see the process of a band from when they start out to their rise to the top.The only thing I’m interested to see in the future is how this band compares to Bria’s former band she sang for, White Poison. I would love to see Reckless Alibi beat them out of a Grammy!! Hopefully the future books in this series will include Bria & Chris’s perspectives again since I’m interested so see how they handle touring and their family lives.I cannot say enough good things about this book. Download your sample now!!

Not at all what I thought was going to happen
When we first met Bria in the Men on Fire series… it was clear she was going to make a great leading lady. But when we last see her she’s just landed her big break with a top rock band.I expected the story to carry through with her going on tour with this big band and falling in love with their hot lead singer… but soon into this book it becomes clear that everything isn’t as it seems, and Bria’s big break doesn’t go to plan. After having her sweet, pure and trusting heart trampled on she finds support and encouragement in the form of the support band, Reckless Alibi. They love her voice and immediately the band want her to join them…. Everyone in the band except Crew.Crew is a complicated and complex man. He’s brooding and standoffish… sure he’s sexy as hell and everything a lead singer in a hot rock band should be but his reluctance to involve Bria in the band comes from somewhere within. It’s not that he doesn’t think she’s good enough, and she’s insanely beautiful… but just seeing her and hearing her evokes painful, bitter and heartbreaking memories of a life he had but lost.I don’t want to say anymore because it will spoil the journey, but this book is incredibly emotional and intense.Crew and Bria’s relationship will only survive if he lets go of his past… but that means letting go of all the hurt he has used as a barrier to letting the rest of the world in. He hides behind his songwriting, using his words to show his heart, but if he can’t give his whole heart to Bria… how can they truly have a future together. This is an absolutely beautiful but harrowing story… and it left me completely floored and broken in parts.I’m a sucker for a happy ending… so I’m just hoping that as the series develops, Bria and Crew continue to work through the heartache and become the amazing couple they are destined to be.Can’t wait to read the next story to see where this goes and also, I’m hoping the gorgeous Liam finds something or someone to bring him some happiness. He deserves some… he’s just so lovely.

This one goes deep
And Samantha does it again 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼Reckless Obsession the first book in her new series, and what an opener this is.We’ve already met Bria, Brett Cash’s sister and know she’s off to tour with a major rock band. (if you’ve read Igniting Emma that is, and if not why not!! 😏)Cash, he’s our new boy on the block and oh what a back story he’s got in store for us.This was a major pull on the heart strings throughout. The tragedy is sole destroying.Writing and performing songs isn’t the only thing that bring Bria and Crew together. The chemistry is undeniable, but when you start to deny yourself what you truly need things start to get a bit crazy. This one goes deep.Brilliant storyline, fantastic new characters who we can start to know and love.Love the fact we now have a whole new group to have interlinked into a new series. And that we get to revisit with old favourites. Liam is going to be an interesting one. Can’t wait to see where this series takes us. Me thinks it’s going to be a bumpy ride. But hey they’re always the best ones.I’m really looking forward to the audio release, this is going to be fantastic to listen to.

Bria
New series follows on from the others with a few cameos of past characters but mostly just Brett being briannas brother is in it mostly.this spin of series has gone into the world of music, following bria as she learns the bad and good of that world,I was surprised because Adam has been in a few pages of past books when I saw this series I thought it would be about white poison being she was off to your with them was glad how it went but ronni really needed putting in her place. Crews story was heart breaking but I was not a fan of how everyone treated he is and the music video she should have that much control

Reckless Obsession
I enjoyed this book but I'm afraid it wasn't what I was expecting, ok so it's my own fault because i made up a story in my head about Bria going on tour with White poison and her story would keep her there. Whilst this is what happens at the start of the book I wasn't expecting what happened next.I love Crew and his story is heart wrenching! Gripping! Yet he's truly loveable. That will teach me to presume!A great start to this series and I can't wait for the next book. X

Absolutely amazing
I was so looking forward to reading this book about Bria and Crew and it really didn’t disappoint it was an amazing story. What happened to Crew when he was younger was horrible losing your girlfriend and baby that way. But Bria came into his life and turned things around for him no actually it was for them both. They have a wonderful future together. Well done Samantha great story.
