Furryhead Windscreen Black Bear for Zoom H1

A little overpriced for what essentially is a big piece of synthetic furry material. It does the job decent enough to cancel out the majority of wind noises. Recently, I use it with the Zoom H1 mike to record a golf lesson outdoors. You can definitely tell the difference with and without the Furryhead. Audio was intelligible with it on.

The windscreen did well in moderate wind. However, the furry is very delicate and must be touched lightly or it begins to lose some fur. Also, I found the elastic band to be slightly too tight to fit around the H1 microphone. I would recommend not taking it off and on continuously. Rather, once it is tightly installed...keep it attached.

Reviews online gave me great hope! I was so excited! Until the cross-wind picked up... then the back wind... it blows straight into the mic. Moving the mic around in different directions against a fan was a very effective test. The wind was so bad blowing up and underneath the screen to the mic that it was unusable.

I didn't anticipate it being as firm and big as it is. When i mount it on the Zoom H1 on top of my camera it can get in the way of controls and even the lens if I don't adjust it. But for everything else it's great!

Despite its large fluffy appearance this does exactly as intended, cuts out the wind to allow the device to get a clear sound. A must have accessory.

its kinda hard to mess up this product, being so simple and all. I use this on my h1 and h4n as well. Must have for recorders.

this is a great product and it works awesome! Just used it the other day outside in extreme wind and it truly was great

Shipped quickly and received it with out problems. I haven't had much testing opportunity as I thought I would have but it's there when I need it.
