Everything worked great and the backing came off once you practiced on it, did what I wanted it to do.

the apartment building i live in has issues with maintenance being backed up & never knowing if/when they will come to fix things so i just bought this on a whim when the dryer vent came disconnected. worked like a charm, has held up for numerous months now, and i still have over half the roll left as backup!

I got this so I could secure my dryer vent to the wall, and to keep bugs from coming in. It worked great. You get a decent size roll, and it’s very easy to use. I love that I could tear off pieces and didn’t have to worry about scissors. The paper backing peeled off smoothly, and it is just thin enough to make it easy to manipulate. It has excellent adhesion, and it’s been in place for days and hasn’t let loose. This is the tape you want to use to secure dryer vents and hot air duct work- duct tape could possibly be a fire hazard and doesn’t withstand the heat as well as foil tape. And for the price you can’t beat this.

This tape exceeded my (albeit low) expectations. I had previously purchased a name brand HVAC tape locally, which despite being advertised as HVAC tape, seemed more like plastic and you could actually see through the metallic coating.This tape is more like I was expecting foil tape to be: it's actually metal and it's the thickness of household aluminum foil. It handles and bends almost exactly like what you'd expect aluminum foil in tape form to handle, and the adhesive seems very good for sealing metal ductwork. I'll be buying more of this if I need foil tape in the future.
