Tough 1 Bodyguard Protective Vest, Black, X-Large

Love it !!I was looking for a vest that would protect my ribs from getting broke again & I another one I was looking and asked others on FB what they thought or knew of it when my first response showed me this one. It’s perfect. I havnt had it tested by being bucked off my horse again but with how well it’s contructed, I don’t see a problem. Buy it!! The price is right for sure. I didn’t have the $ to spend but this was a no brained. I got size extra large because that’s the size shirt I normally buy so it’s true to size. As you can see from photo, I’m not really heavy.

Stiff as expected. Well made. Hard to put on if you have limited movement. Used to protect my ribs from further breakage. Will be sewing down the large velcro flaps after the size gets stable.

The vest runs big and I have returned it for a smaller size. Very well made, with adjustment on sides and shoulders. Company is very friendly, efficient and personal to work with on the return. I would recommend contacting them, or their web site for the correct measurement for size fit.

The media could not be loaded.  Helps when you hitting the ground but likes to take itself off. Nearly died in it (guess it wasn’t on anymore) twice and now have some nice scars on my back where I got stopped. Velcro is not the way to go folks.

I purchased the above product in October. My son has wore the vest bull riding a few times and the left shoulder Velcro completely ripped off and now the shoulder pad will not stay in place. The material and everything ripped. Maybe less then 10 times riding. The vest is not even broke in and can not be fixed. Completely dissatisfied would not recommend this product. I feel like I wasted my money.

Don't get me wrong, it gets the job done. Hence the five stars. I asked several people to punch me whilst wearing the vest and felt very little force. It will protect you. However, the other reviews appear to make it sound as if is made of rock. You can easily move around in it. The only problem I notice is that you may need to get your perfect size sewn onto the adjustable Velcro straps. As they can rip off fairly easily.
