The McKactus Grow Guide: How To Cultivate Trichocereus & Other Cacti At Home

First of all this book is made incredibly cheap. It feels like a paper pamphlet that you can take from a store for free. There’s no spine or anything, it’s just lightweight paper cheaply held together. More importantly the information in the book is all easily accessible online. I started growing Trichocereus less than a year ago and I knew everything in the book just from online research. Even the page count of the book is a falsehood because there are large sketches of cacti on many of the pages and the font is huge - leading to less information. In all - bad experience.

Wow! This was such a pleasant read. McKactus is clearly a very knowledgeable and passionate grower and I thoroughly enjoyed the way in which he explained each facet of cactus growing. There are several pro tips shared along the way that can only come from an experienced individual. I can’t wait to apply some of what I’ve learned. Looking forward to future guides and publications.

This guide covers everything you need to know for successful trichocereus life from seed on. Easy to read and understand and offers tips to the grower beyond the cactus itself. Love the guide!

Incredibly insightful, helpful book for any cactus lover or anyone wanting to get into cacti. I highly recommend this book. Well written and knowledgeable.

BEUTIFUL IMAGES ON SOME PAGES AND THE INFORMATION IS NICE AND CLEAR BUT FOR THE PRICE ITS QUITE PRICY, HOWEVER NONETHELESS A BITAL HANDBOOK I'VE REALISED TO HAVE, HAS ALLOWED MY TORCHES TO THRIVE THIS WINTER, I HATE FINDING ANSWERS OFF THE INTERNET YOU NEVER GET EXACTLY THE ANSWER YOU NEED, THIS BOOK IS PERFECT. JUST WAS EXPECTING MAYBE SOME INFO ABOUT ITS CEREMONIAL PAST USES ETC FOR THE PRICE BUT HEY HO ITS A BRILLIANT ESSSENTIAL FOR ANYONE GROWING TORCHES AT HOME!
