Works, but not impressed with the peeler. Not the quality of the one I had from the local store.

These are great tools. Very sharp. Cut up Apples every day for my Guinea Pig, WITH EASE.

The NuBakers 3-piece fruit preparation kit includes an apple slicer, peeler, and a 3” paring knife. The apple slicer has two soft grip handles and a 3.5” diameter cutting area with eight slices plus a one inch center core. The knife has a plastic handle and comes with a protective plastic blade cover. The blade has some give, but is firm and sharp.The peeler is made with a plastic handle and uses a swivel blade positioned horizontally. This type of peeler takes a bit of getting used to if you’ve only used the vertical blade style peelers. Although, the peeler works well once gotten the hang of. The plastic construction seems cheap, but also makes the peeler lightweight and easy to care for.I don’t usually purchase sets like this. Actually, this one was provided to me in exchange for an honest review. I prefer to purchase individual pieces so I can choose the items that work best for me. I really don’t need another paring knife at home, and probably would have just bought an apple slicer. However, I currently eat seven meals a day which means I have to prepare food at work. This set is perfect for making an apple based snack at the office. This is a nice 3 piece set that many should find useful. I am on the "eat more vegetables and fruit" wagon, so this set was of interest to me. I received a free sample item for this review.I have only used this set a few times, so far, but that's enough to see that this is a nice set that delivers what it promises. It comes with a 100% lifetime satisfaction guarantee, which is nice. It was well packaged. There were no instructions on use, but most will know how to use these items. Still, some instructions would have been a thoughtful addition.The ceramic knife is sharp and handy, shaped like a paring knife and works similarly. Good for cutting and slicing, and should last a long time. Also, very easy to clean. It comes with a nice plastic sheath for the blade.The Apple corer/slicer is similar to many on the market, but this one has better handles than many and a very solid construction. The large handles provide a good grip and make this easier to use. It works as expected and does a good job. It is excellent.The peeler is also similar to many. It takes some practice to use and I did have a little trouble with larger apples, but it worked pretty well on smaller items. I have not really used it that much and will update if I find any issues with it, but so far it seems fine.All in all, a nice set.

I received this set with the agreement that I would leave an honest review.First let me say that I have never used a ceramic blade before so I was very interested in trying this product. The knife is sharp, and easy to use. I was very pleased with it. The blade has its owns sheath which will make it easy to carry with me when I need to eat a home packed meal on the road. I love the size, it fits perfectly in my hand.I was extremely pleased with apple corer and slicer. I have rheumatoid arthritis and I also eat a lot of apples, so I was very excited about trying this product. On days when my hands hurt too much to use a knife in order to slice through an apple, I tend to hack away, making a mess of things. I picked up one of my apples and placed this slicer on top of it. With a minimal amount of pressure it cut right through the apple. I was left with a perfectly sliced piece of fruit, minus the core. I am a very happy apple eater! This is going to make my life so much easier, considering I eat one to two apples on most days.The vegetable peeler worked but it had to be held at just the right angle. After a few tries I was able to peel my carrot and even used it on the skin of an orange to get a little zest. The angle was a little awkward but with that said, it worked well. It will just take some getting used to.

I've used this set to make apple pie. I love the apple corer/slicer and the knife - they both work beautifully. The peeler, well, let's just say I'm impressed I still have skin on my fingers. I tried peeling towards me (which is a big no-no, especially when the user is iffy with the item) and away from me, but I didn't feel like I had much control of the peeler as both directions seemed unnatural and uncomfortable, and it seemed to take forever to peel the apple (I finally gave up and used the knife).I should also mention that this is the first time I've ever used a peeler like this (in the shape of a "Y") - I've always used the ones shaped like a knife, which would explain my awkwardness with the item. I think it's a neat little set and I will certainly be using it again. However, I'll keep the peeler in the drawer.

Surprises me it cuts, peels because I can run my finger across & no cut. A little one can help out using this.
