Excellent system at a great price
Great product at a great price. You can't beat the quality and value of blink camera systems. The app is easy to use and you can even control areas to ignore movement (cars passing etc) by choosing blocks of the picture to ignore, down to a very small selection(see pics). This is an excellent system and batteries last a surprisingly long time even in high traffic areas, my carport for instance gets a lot of traffic daily like a minimum of 6-8 recordings and still lasts months. Overall this was a great purchase and I highly recommend them.

Never Been Used - Over 3yrs Later!
I bought these camera's back in 2020 and I've never used them! Recently, I decided to get them set up, but the Sync Module 2 just won't connect! I've disabled everything connected to the internet, I have no VPN, I disabled virus protection even uninstalled it, uninstalled/reinstalled the Blink app. I've unplugged and restarted the mod, the router, my phone, tried using 2 other phones, turned mobile data off using WiFi only. Phone, mod and router within inches of each other! Nothing works! I spent all of this money for 5 camera's I can't use because the little module won't connect! I've had them too long to send back. I called Blink for help and after going through everything I'd already done, they decided to send me a new module (very kind of them) and the situation is still the same. I have Cox Gigablast and the router is split 2.4GHZ/5GHZ. There has to be something blocking it. What that it is, I haven't a clue. What should have been a simple process has been anything but that for me! I'm pretty tech savvy! I'm no novice! This should have been child's play! I have 2 laptops using 5GHZ Band so i switched to 2.4GHZ on both of them. No problem connecting or surfing the web or watching videos. If anyone reads this and has a suggestion, I'd surely appreciate it!Well my cameras all work now. I shut down the entire network. Took everything off of it. Factory reset the network then set up split network again. Now the module works as well as the camera's as they should have over 3 years ago. I still don't know exactly what blocked the module. That's useful information. I've never felt so inept. Anyway, that was my work around. I'd get frustrated and come back to it if I was thinking about it which, as you might guess, was once or twice a year. They're not a necessity but are nice as added security.

Occasional Motion detection problems
I have 5 blink cameras at my house, some inside some outside. These cameras are pretty good, you can see well, the night vision is ok - not fantastic but night vision is tough. My biggest complaint is that there have been several times when the camera doesn't trigger with motion detection. I have two that view my porch and I had an amazon delivery that NEITHER of them caught. Someone walked up to my porch and droped a package and neither this camera or my blink doorbell activated. Imagine if that had been a package thief! So i'm sorta pleased, but not totally thrilled with these. The other thing I don't really like is that in order to save clips, you have to pay for a subscription. The sheer number of cameras I have means I have to pay for the expensive one which is $10 a month or $100/yr. It's not a lot of money, but it's just one more person with their hand in my pocket. They do work somewhat without a subscription but if you want anything to save for a length of time, you gotta get one. The app is free, which is nice, and it's easy to use and allows you to control all kinds of things, including the sensitivity of the motion detection, but this camera on my porch still didn't catch the delivery so it worrys me a little that something could happen without my cameras catching it. But back to the app, I really like it, it's intuitive, and I had zero trouble figuring it out. I'm 46, and computer literate, but I think it's really easy to use. The cameras were very easy to set up, I had no trouble getting video within 5 minutes of installation and it was very simple. The brackets that put the cameras up are ok, but they'd be better if they had a better range of motion without having to buy a different bracket. It wasn't much of an issue, but I could see how it might be for other people. overall, I'm pretty happy about this purchase
