Works wonderfully on my Small TAMIYA 10oz bottles!I keep the inside of my lids and threads pretty clean, but sometimes, the lids still stick and can be REALLY tough to open when that happens. I've had to resort to pliers in the past (and that damages the lids), but worries me about cracking the glass jar. With this new little gizmo, I can now easily unscrew a difficult lid! It fits perfectly on the jar lids, gets a good "bite" and off comes the stuck lid.Just buy it! :)

As anyone who is a hobby painter knows your paint jars WILL get stuck at some point. There are method to open them such as the towel, brute force, pliers ( last resort ) and heating the lid with a lighter or hot water. The all have their pros and cons but I wish there was something easier.I came across this little gem looking for a small jar openers I might be able to use for that purpose. This thing is such a lifesaver. The two sides can accomodate Mr. Color and Tamiya jars. There is even a slot in the middle to handle the cap design some Mr. Color lacquer bottles. The blue jar holder is somewhat larger that the paint jars but the material is non slip and lets you get a good grip while getting the cap off. The material seems to be pretty sturdy and initially was concerned some of the bottles or the tool itself might slip of it was too tight and damage the groves on either one. So far it has not happened.I recommend this tool to anyone with Tamiya or Mr. Color....If only they made one specifically for Model Master as well.

Comes from Japan Proper. This item takes longer than projected delivery time but, well worth the wait. Har d plastic wrench which opens 4 different bottles. Tamiya paint bottles are hard to open sometimes & this device is designed to help open Tamiya mini's, along with 2 Mr. Hobby bottle sizes & a horizontal slot between the rings for a special bar top on a 3rd Mr. Hobby bottle cap. Mr. Hobby products are hard to find in the states. The gummi cup clear blue & grips the bottle body of all the bottles & as one review adds, It does not help with Tamiya's larger size paint bottles. This tool is so nice to have around that hobby shops should import them so they are easier to get although you may order these under 10 dollars with no shipping charge in some places. Amazon really does us a favor by making this possible. Order it, wait for it, then enjoy it.

This little guy has saved my life. As a Model Builder I am constantly opening small jars of paint and this thing has saved my hands. If you have trouble opening the small 10ml or 12ml bottles this works wonders.

This thing will save you lots of frustration. Fits a bunch of different bottles, including Tamiya, Gunze with the handle or the ones without. It opened one of my Tamiya bottles that was all frozen solid no problem. No more pliers!

Works as advertised. I was able to easily open 10ml bottles whose threads were clogged with paint. Does not work on the 23ml paint bottles, but I have plenty of 10ml bottles, so it's a keeper. -hjp

Perfect for the small Tamiya jars. I was tired of hurting my hand opening old paint. the rubber is really grippy and the tool gives plenty of torque.

This thing is awesome! It works for both Gunze Mr.Color/Hobby and Tamiya Acrylics as they are 90% similar bottles. The gel cup enables you to grip the bottle extremely well and the plastic wrench doesn't tear up the lids like a standard set of slip joint pliers do. I just wish there was one of these available for Testors brand paints. Highly recommended!
