Very warm and flattering base layer! Unfortunately I had to return it and place a direct order from smartwool, after both merino items I ordered from amazon arrived with holes in them.

Very good warm! Good tight fit. You will be surprised how warm it is.

I like the way this top looks - sporty, but could easily be used as a regular top/sweater and would still look great. The pattern is very subtle, but nice - it's just a little something extra on a solid color, but not a "real" pattern.The wool is a nice mid-weight and isn't scratchy. It's only a wool blend, not 100% wool, but I was hoping that would make it more durable. Unfortunately, I think the shirt's only drawback is its durability.In the black shade, the inside is white, giving a nice subtle overall look (not quite heathered, but similar) to the top, BUT if there's even the slightest snag, that white thread from inside will be VERY noticeable against the black sweater.The sweater I received seemed new and unworn, but there was already a small white thread showing through in one spot. I'd be worried about more threads starting to come through so easily, and in the worst case scenario developing tiny holes.I tried this top in a teal color also, and it did NOT have white inside, so snags would be less noticeable in that color, but the fabric has the same delicate/fragile feel that I would expect snags and holes soon.I expect an athletic type top to be a lot more durable than this, so I was very disappointed.5 stars for style (before any snags/holes develop)5 stars for warmth (based on the midweight that it is)3 stars for quality of construction3 stars for expected durability

I purchased this sweater online. Typically I wear small, and wanted a little looser, so chose a medium. This sweater is so tight I can barely get it on, it's like a xxs. Customer service won't cover the return shopping, even though there is absolutely no way a person could know to "choose up 1-2 sizes" (as they've told me during my issues trying to get the return covered.) BUYER BEWARE. Fits like kids clothing.
