Touches my heart
Roseanne's velvet voice and honest lyrics really touch my heart. This CD is easy on the ears and lifts the spirit. I have been searching for ages for a female vocalist that expresses what is in my heart, that sings the songs that speak my mind. All the selections are very well done, and it would be hard to choose just one as a favorite. I get a kick out of "My Baby Thinks He's a Train" and the versatility of her voice as she emulates the rhythms and sounds associated with trains. "Never Be You" is strong vocally and speaks to that lost love we all have known. "Seven Year Ache" is a song with no equal... it just draws you in. "What We Really Want" ... is love... so true. I really like "No Memories Hangin' Round" with Bobby Bare - they are so good together. The guitar work and instruments are all excellent. You can't go wrong with this CD.

This is an outstanding, career spaning, compilation of Rosanne's greatest songs. It even has one song, featuring her Dad, Johnny Cash. It consists of 16 songs. Fine work, can get all these trax plus more
Well done. All the tracks, plus later hits and a few rarities, appear on The Essential Roseanne Cash 2-disks mastered superbly in Austria. I am discarding this 2005 disk now that I own the later 2011 set.

Good despite a rough shipper
All three CD's I ordered showed up damaged. Having worked for a major shipper when I was younger, I believe the damage was from the shipper. This retailer had a fast and efficient method of returning the products. Within five minutes I had the return shipping labels in my hand and a new set of CD's were on the way. The new CD's arrived within a few days perfectly intact. I believe a good indicator of a business is not only how well they perform when things go right, but how well they perform when things don't go right through no fault of their own.I would definitely buy from them again.
