This item was supposed to be and is released by the manufacturer today, sept 4 2020. why does it say that it will not be shipped until oct 1- nov 1?

How is this not in stock on its launch date?

This was released today (sept 4th), but my delivery estimate is oct.1st-nov.2nd. do we really have to wait 1-2 months?

What is the point of preordering if we have to wait anyway?
