Q: Are these solid brass or just plated steel?

While they are not solid brass the finish on them holds up extremely well. I hammer them flat to finish and they do not fade or chip.

Q: How do i fasten them with out shifting and bending? The hammer knocks them offset of eachother.

I used 700 of these to make a vest, I used a flat 2x6 piece of lumber under the leather with the stud side, put the cap over it and used a flat wood chisel to set the cap flat on top and hammered the chisel. This was the best and fastest way I found to set the rivets without bending them. Some did bend but only say 1 out of 50 instead of 49 out of 50. So worked pretty well

Q: what is the cap diameter and stem distance for rivets?

They range from big to small the longest being about 1\2 inches long with a3/8s head diameter

Q: Will these work with the Prym tool?
